Do they mount inside the channel that the glass slides in? Or only on the outside?

Anything in the channel should be a DQ due to the extra load that method places on the window regulator.
Can confirm avoid the ones in the window channel. Went through 2 sets of WeatherTechs and they both broke and gave my windows a fit. I don't even think WeatherTech is selling them anymore.

For those wanting something a little simpler looking, I found this: https://www.switchboss.com.au/colle...s/dual-type-c-usb-c-charger-suit-toyota-small

Ordered one. Looks to be coming from Australia. I'll report back as soon as I have it in hand and installed.
I wound up purchasing this one so I could keep the stock USB/Aux in tact:

I installed the OEM Japanese ones and they are AMAZING. One of my favorite upgrades (but over $100)
Any wind noise? Is the idea you can crack the windows in the rain when parked? How do you use them?

I have top racks for my surf fishing rods that I pretty much leave on year-round that have wind noise, so I don't notice anything from the vents. Yes, windows cracked when it's raining, or when it's hot and I park outside to keep the cabin from getting as warm. Plus they look amazing.

I also have the OE window rain guards, though I only installed the rears because I didn’t want to impair visibility through the front windows.

The goal was to have some ventilation inside the vehicle while it’s raining as I usually sleep inside my rig when camping.

A couple notes.. these guards are quite low profile. At the most, they are only spaced away from the window by under an inch, maybe 3/4. This probably cuts down on wind noise, but it also really cuts down on airflow when the vehicle isn’t moving for two reasons.. 1, just not much clearance. 2, you can’t open the window very far below the guard without rain getting in.

So, not super effective for ventilation when it’s raining. I’ve had ideas of making magnetic “tents” that stick to the body over the windows for much more airflow when needed. No clue when I’ll work on this, if ever.

But these are an extremely well-designed product. They follow the profile of the window frame perfectly, stick to the outside with high quality adhesive tape, and only have two very thin metal brackets that go between the window frame and the rubber window track, so they don’t put any undue stress on the regulators, but stay in place VERY solidly.

Oh and they also have “Landcruiser” molded in to the fronts, iirc

Great product, just don’t expect a ton of airflow when sitting still and protecting against rain.

I cut these little seat belt tags. It’s surprising how much noise they can make flapping and edge scraping the trim with the ac pointed a certain way. Marked difference.

Not sure this is good idea. I always thought removed tags are sign of stolen or totalled car. Now I know third explanataion- extra noise))))
lol you don’t have bigger things to worry about? I bet you’re afraid to cut the tag off your mattress too.

Car theft and removal of tags in Moscow is actually fairly common. Pretty big thing to worry about I would say.

@sadovnik not sure what is funny about that, but ok.
I was thinking it was funny you thought anyone cared about car theft in Moscow. That's all. No need to get all riled up about it. I also laughed at @04UZJ100 's post and he didn't seem to mind.

1. My response was to the other poster from Moscow.

2. I certainly care as was clearly evident in my initial response.

3. I also found your posts funny, no need to get all riled up about it 🤣

Interesting reaction from some folks on removal of tags and car theft, must be a source of income for some.

Anyway, back on topic.. Finally received this center console armrest box. Great addition for some extra storage.

Do y'all have any recommendations on a phone holder for a 16+ LX?
Eventually gonna get a hamilton but need something for now.

also need to bump up the height of these cupholders. the idiot designer who put a giant hand rest should be beaten.
