Costco?
Interesting, that's a different lid design than the older ones I have and doesn't look at robust. Scepter makes good stuff though, definitely my preferred brand for fuel and water.Great deal going on Scepter Nato 5gal cants. Even comes with a nice water spout solution.

Gotcha---thank you. Now I'm debating whether to just buy the Hamilton car play unit since I'm doing most of the work anyway. That would take this upgrade from "under $100" to like $800.View attachment 4146473
You have to take the whole infotainment system out to access the 12v cigarette lighter outlet. It pigtails off that.
Not to encourage you but the addition of CarPlay/android auto is one of the most underrated modifications we’ve done. It really makes the native map and infotainment system seem so last century.Gotcha---thank you. Love my vline 2. Watched a tv show on there while eating my lunch in a parking lot today. Not to encourage you but the addition of CarPlay/android auto is one of the most underrated modifications we’ve done. It really makes the native map and infotainment system seem so last century.
I have the Hamilton unit sitting on the floor in my office but I’m kind of afraid to attack it.Not to encourage you but the addition of CarPlay/android auto is one of the most underrated modifications we’ve done. It really makes the native map and infotainment system seem so last century.
It’s a pretty easy install tbhI have the Hamilton unit sitting on the floor in my office but I’m kind of afraid to attack it.
How do you get it to do that?Love my vline 2. Watched a tv show on there while eating my lunch in a parking lot today.

Got one as well from aliexpress for my LX. Digging the side pockets. With CarPlay the pocket is a perfect place to hold the phone.I rolled the dice on this:
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...821&aecmd=true&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt
Because I love this even if I didn't get the door inserts.: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...t_main.17.2dc01802JyVdFp&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa
verdict still out on the cover that goes over the center console. #1--I definitely wish the pockets were deeper. #2---I am likely going to have to apply double side tape in a few spots to hold it down unless it "settles" as it warms up which to point #3---I could imagine this getting kind of hot in the summer.
Did you say you had a Hamilton CarPlay Unit?If so, I have a few questions.View attachment 4146473

I just wish the pockets were like 2x to 3x as deep. You should check out the silicon cupholder insert. Way better than the 3D printed option imo (I bought the Cd thing and returned it). I also have an LX which the wife drives. I offered to get her the console cover but she passed---maybe she will like the idea when she sees mine. Still not sure if I will keep this----I had a few molle panels there with the banana holder but my wife doesn't like it when I drive around with bananas so I took it out. She says driving around with the banana is dangerous. I say it's practical in case I run across anyone wishing harm on the family who has a banana of their own. It's better to have the banana and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I’ve got a Hamilton unit, but I’ve honestly never used the aux or factory usb A that’s in the center panel next to the shifter. I’m also running my Hamilton through factory Bluetooth instead of using the aux method in one of their various set up methods - this supposedly helps with phone calls with the oem mic and reduces a background echo.Did you say you had a Hamilton CarPlay Unit?If so, I have a few questions.
1) I read on their website that when you use their unit you lose function of the factory USB/Aux port, is that true? And if yes, are those plugs just dead?
2) if yes to above, could I just do what you did in the photo above put it in the soon to be dead USB/Aux spot instead?
I appreciate any advice you’d like to share.
If you familiarize her with your banana and take her to a place to instruct her on how to use your banana, you and your banana will be a lot happier and accepted...even if its small.I've found that a small concealed banana makes my wife less uncomfortable than a large open carried banana.
