Well i tried ordering new oem hoses from Toyota parts deal but it's going to take them a month to get here.
Any suggestions? I really should replace the hoses and i have cheap screw type clamps on currently
I ordered mine in December. Checked the status based on your post. Expected to arrived at TPD on 01/31 then ship to me. Sheesh

Or try partsouq—I don’t think anything’s ever taken more than 4 days to get here. Sooo much faster than McGeorge, despite being on the other side of the world....

Just a note on CFS radiators.
In my test rig and heard from one other I installed. We're seeing a very minor weep at lower hose to radiator goose neck. I'll be doing a coolant flush. At which time I'll pull lower hose and see if possible a casting groove or ridge, can be worked-over to correct. If not correctable, I'm going to only use/recommended OEM in the future.

When I replaced my OEM with CFS along with OEM hoses I had a small weep that I ultimately fixed with a Constant-Tension Clamp for Soft Hose. Problem solved so far.

I just purchased a Mishimoto R2282 radiator with plastic tanks and the box was pretty beat up. Most of the tubes look ok but can someone tell me if this is going to be an issue? Probably ok but would like a a confirmation. Thanks for the help.

The OEM is a Constant-Tension Clamp for Soft Hose. Are you using the "screw" type Constant-Tension Clamp for Soft Hose?

Give CSF a call and let them know. If nothing else they will be aware. I hear great things about their products in general. Likely going to use them for an oil cooler on another vehicle.

Keep us posted !

THX! I've messaged them.

Dose it really matter if it leaks, engine over heats? It’s a Land cruiser.... it’s going to run forever.

ha just kidding/ I’m meticulous about my machine being 100% correct

Yup. A ordered two large batches of parts recently on the same day. Partsouq arrived on my doorstep before McGeorge had even shipped. Partsouq took about 5 days total, McGeorge will probably be 10-20 days. Amazing how efficient Partsouq is. The boxes from Partsouq are pristine as well. Again, just amazing.

I've had this happen on many aftermarket radiators. Toyota seems to like using a radiator outlet/inlet size *just* larger than the common sizes used by aftermarket. Measure the outlet and inlet diameters at the thin part of the neck and the larger lip. That might be what you're seeing.

My Denso from Amazon was ok, but otherwise I think I've installed 5-10 radiators over the years and had almost all the aftermarket ones have a slightly smaller neck, making it more likely to leak or to need a non-Toyota clamp.

My local Mr. T sourced me a Mexico Spec for $396. Be here tomorrow from their warehouse. Glad I found this thread.

I have to say McGeorge really came through for me. My hoses arrived today, a day ahead of the radiator even though i ordered them afterwards due to Toyota parts deal delay. They even noticed what i was ordering and suggested a correction. I had ordered 2 of each clamp for the radiator hose and they informed me that i needed 3 of 1 and 1 of the other. Saved me. They still got the order out within 24 hrs of ordering and got it to me fast.
Good to know about partsouq though. I haven't tried them yet.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of McGeorge. No shade meant for them. Partsouq is just that impressive.

Picked up my Mexico Spec rad this morning. Stuck my hand in there to make sure it came with the foam surrounds. It did.

16400-50210 (98-02) Original radiator... now superseded by...
16400-50360 This part is shared by other market 100's of later years including HDJ's. Difference is unknown to me.
16400-50290 (03-07) Radiator with more fins per inch than original 98-02 radiators

The "Mexican spec" radiators (16400-50211 and 50212) have been superseded by the same 16400-50360 as above. They weren't just Mexican spec, they were spec'd for other markets as well.

When I ordered it, it said Mexico Spec so that's why I'm saying it that way. Yes, it did get superseded. I don't care what it's spec'd for as long as it will work on my 100.

Got my moshimoto in today and bolted in. Only had a slight issue with the bolts for the brackets just a hair off. I was able to bend the bracket slightly to get the holes to line up. Also added a strip of weather striping to fill a slight gap at the top, shown in a previous post. My oem hoses fit nice and tight. No worries there.
I'm replacing heater Tee and hoses while the system is drained. Will do that tomorrow. But it's almost buttoned up.
