Build a snorkel out off 90mm PVC downpipe.

Did you move the intake on your air-filter housing to the rear instead of the front?

Also, how did you fix the PVC to the body up along the a-pillar?

I move the intake to the back and I pop riveted 2 brackets to the a-pillar then riveted in to the pipe. Its fitted to a 3f carby so air box is may be different to the US models.

Bike Mount

I picked up a 60 and started fixing it up and here are a few of the $50mods that I liked from this post. Also, I added a bike mount, hope you like it.

This is just a piece of plate metal I got in the trash at work. I fashioned a 100mm wide block of wood with a good ol' fashioned hole. Then I drove in a "nutcert" on each side of the hole and in goes a quick release squewer. screw the block to the plate and some velcro on the back helps it to stick to the rug floor.

I actually bought both part numbers and they different. Sorry I didnt take picks but the newer part # is a small blk round buzzer. The specks are the same and it works just fine so far. Best mod yet

I agree this is great, I got one and found it is 75decibles and only about as big as a nickel...here is a pic.

Thanks to Jfnall for the info on the ambient air temp sensor...I mounted mine by the corner window glass and ran the sensor out to the front bumper. I like to know when the road is going below 32...

And also,,, a pic of where I mount the fire extinguisher. Just utilizing the existing mount bolt for the interior panel.

I have a similar bike setup in my 60, but I used a 2x6 the whole way across and some rocky mountain fork mounts. It's cool because I can take it in and out when I need to.

Manchao, Painting it white makes so much sense...good thinking. Now, did you use regular rattle can white?

James I used a rust-oleum white but the nozzle did not put out enough paint.
I swapped it for that of a brake cleaner that I had laying around.. (it fit).
It put out a lot more paint.... It took three passes and two cans to get good coverage.
I let it dry for a couple of days and it came out really good !!!

Thanks for the insight. I'll give this a try Monday.

I go this two to add to this awesome thread...

What's in your glovebox?....looks like a rechargeable set of hair clippers.
There's no room to lose anything.

Great idea on the color btw.

Nice bike there spud! I am planning on doing the same thing once I get my cruiser. Do you mind me asking what size bike you ride? I am hoping that my 19.5" 29er hardtail will fit like that... nice thing is that if I really wanted to it looks like you could put up the back seats and just swing the rear all the way around.

Not sure if this was suggested...

After cleaning out all the ducting and the A/C evaporator which was full of dog hairs and junk from the previous owner I thought it would be a good idea to somehow filter the air being sucked in from the cab and from the outside before it goes through the ducts.

I put a piece of bug screen over the blower motor intake that draws the air from the outside (should stop pine needles and leaves), as well as inside the cab (for hairs and whatever else is floating around in your truck).
Just used zip ties for the blower, and for the fresh air intake behind the wiper motor, I just stuffed a piece up underneath when I had the blower off.

I like that white glove box :) Looks like a power inverter in there...

I painted the insides of my rear quarters white and also the inside of the tailgate as I have a Wagongear insert in it. The only way to fly. i can see. :)

Found a use for my leftover bedliner project. Fender flares! Got the idea from the classified section. Very pleased with the appearance on "beater" rigs like mine.

I really like your rack, got any diagrams or dimensions; build pics?
BTW, I really love the look of your truck.

Mikesta, your very right 62's demand respect, if not already given, I just tap the brakes a little and they back off, but I want to know and somehow adjust it for my buddies that tailgate me in their trucks jsut to mess with me. And of course I do the same to then along with the occasional bump. :hillbilly::grinpimp:

So does anyone know how to adjust the sprayer to shoot backward?

I always wanted to rig a separate reservoir and pump with nozzles under the bumper to spray either anti-freeze or water and machinists oil back there, then they're gonna have to pull over to clean off the windshield with soap. Then I got to thinking, :hhmm:, I bet if I did that, they went blind and ran over the baby carriage, it's possible someone could consider me liable.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but for $5 I got new (used) dual horns from the junk yard.

The OEM dual horns are so feeble and wimpy sounding. I wanted dual horns out of a late 90s Camry (good and loud, Japanese sounding), but none were available when I was there, so I got dual horns out of a 1999 Hyundai Sonata as a temporary solution. I've got dual horns kicking around from a 1992 Ford Tempo. They're super loud, but I can't bring myself to put a domestic sounding Ford horn on a classic Japanese rig.

I have an ooh-gah horn.
Loud and unusual so it scares hell out of animals and texting teenagers.
