Hello everyone -

Made the decision to finally move my LS swapped 80 to a manual. Ideally I'd like a 6 speed T56.

Anyone have any parts lists or other wisdom? Appreciate it!

I would do a H152 with the Mark’s adapter.
Do you have any particular reason for wanting a T56 in your land cruiser?
Do you really want a transmission with a 3:1 first gear and .50:1 overdrive?

Thanks. It was the recco of my shop. I guess due to an abundance of them and I really wanted 6 speed. H152 will handle the 5.3 ok?

Was the tremec box ever used in something as heavy as a landcruiser?

I looked at the specs years ago. Thought a 6 speed in a turbo diesel cruiser would be cool.

From memory, the torque and weight of a diesel cruiser would put then beyond their design parameters.
If you've Increased power and torque with an LS, I'd wonder if they are up to the task?

H152 or H151 are a heavy duty light truck gear box. They were run behind a torquey TD 4500 V8 diesel in a heavy workhorse.

Leave the auto ... if you go with a manual transmission you better know it will fit I can tell you a nv4500 does with a **** ton of modifications. 1st and last one I will ever do in a 80.

This one may be your best bet but I would still do your research beforehand
