This thread is a bit old, so apologize for digging it up, but Aqualu is not shutting down at the end of the year. The current owner, Todd, is simply working toward retirement but he is actively seeking new ownership to continue operations.

Was some poor communication by an ex staff member. 🙄
This is the best news I've seen all day.

I have a 40 tub and 45 bed and I’ve been extremely happy with the quality. The 40 tub is currently sitting on the ground killing grass.

Is there any way to ID an Aqualu (or other) tub? I have recently acquired an aluminum 3/4 tub that I have not been able to find any markings on it.

Having trouble uploading images--getting file size too big errors.

time to piss or get off the pot!!! hope i’m not too late. i’ll be calling tomorrow if my wife gives the final thumbs up!! i’ve been off and on again when (not if) i buy one. a house build has gotten in the way of my 40 build but i guess i’d better man up!!

edit. i read back a few posts and it’s not going to close down?!! that’s great. i’ll still likely call tomorrow like @ryanwk628 did!!

Hi, Is Steven back up and operating from France ?

I assume you mean Teseven? I think they are. Their website shows they are. My plan for my next resto was to go with Teseven and would be reaching out in the next few months. They seemed the best bang for the buck. I am now looking at TP however as well and will need to make a decision. I am a bit partial to Teseven because they were so good to me with the fire (gave me a full refund on my tub and excellent communication and customer service).

If you need a Teseven Stainless Steel 1979 FJ40 tub...I have one over in classified.

ok i just did it! i ordered an aqualu tub! 🎉
You made the right choice. I'm almost done with my build and the Aqualu 3/4 tub made the build really easy. If you do a hard top, you might fight the sides a little bit but with some creative trimming, you'll be there.

Can you be more specific on comments/required trimming for hard top sides?
The side panels did not sit right on the Aqualu tub. Something about the shape of the sill on the tub didn’t allow the sides to push down far enough to get the gap down to OEM spec.
So, my ambulance doors have a slight gap at the bottom because no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get them so sit any lower on the body.
Also, the hard top side posts will not drop down into the Aqualu tub. You’ll have to trim significantly.
All in all, the Aqualu was a good move but it’s not without some fabrication and fitting.
