Dont tell my wife, I used that as my justification for buying my tub earlier than planned![]()
This is the best news I've seen all day. This thread is a bit old, so apologize for digging it up, but Aqualu is not shutting down at the end of the year. The current owner, Todd, is simply working toward retirement but he is actively seeking new ownership to continue operations.
Was some poor communication by an ex staff member.![]()
I love my 1st generation Aqualu tub, tailgate, cowl, aprons, bib, windshield frame, and running boards from 2002. Not a bit of rust!
My 40 built on an Aqua tub .... This thing was awesome !!

Yes, you are correct 3/4 tubIs that a full tub or 3/4 with a OEM cowl. The kick vent and stamped louvers look OEM steel. I do not remember a aluminum tub having that close to OEM detail.

Hi, Is Steven back up and operating from France ?
You made the right choice. I'm almost done with my build and the Aqualu 3/4 tub made the build really easy. If you do a hard top, you might fight the sides a little bit but with some creative trimming, you'll be there.ok i just did it! i ordered an aqualu tub!![]()

The side panels did not sit right on the Aqualu tub. Something about the shape of the sill on the tub didn’t allow the sides to push down far enough to get the gap down to OEM spec. Can you be more specific on comments/required trimming for hard top sides?
Please contact me if you have any tech question about our Topyota panels, we are the only one in the market manufacturing the panels with the original Toyota gauge 18 calCan you be more specific on comments/required trimming for hard top sides?
