I’ve got the Tuffy without the radio compartment. Really adds to the driveability and comfort. Nice to have some support, especially with a bad back.

I'm not concerned about security as much as a decent cup holder. BH 3D printing offers a cup holder for factory console for all three styles. If you thinking of installing a new H55F five speed and don't have a 40 series top cover a tall center console would making shifting awkward. Not sure I would care for how much the shift cane would need to be bent forward to clear the console.

This is what I want to do with my '72 - while I know the seat brackets will differ, what did you use? Did the Procar seats bolt right in place or did you buy / fab some brackets to mount them?

Ordered the FJ40 Procar seat brackets along with the seats. -> click here <- Have since installed the Procar Rally XL's, much roomier!

I've done this... honestly works better than half the aftermarket cup holders you'd find at a parts store.

Smittybuilt. Cost less than $90. Built mount out of scrap tubing I had. I’ll mount stereo inside repurposing the metal that came with it for the base.

Not to hijack the thread here... but was wondering if folks have any suggestions for storage/cupholder for an early (1970) bench seat.
