Does anyone know how to get the brass fittings apart for the plastic fuel line? I think I have found a source for the line but don't want to destroy the fittings getting them apart. Other than what I am pretty sure is compression ring in there, I think these are reuseable.

I will probably post a question in the 40 series forum too.

Thanks!

Here is another option. FJ40 Fuel Line Kit Red Line Retro Repop - https://redlinelandcruisers.com/shop/40-series/engine/red-line-fj40-retro-repop-early-land-cruiser-fuel-line-kits/

Thank you. I have seen the Red Line kit. I may go that route but thought about rebuilding mine as a first effort.
The lines I have are intact but they aren't very flexible which leads me to suspect they are brittle. Not a great area to take chances!

I have had ones that are pretty stiff, but dont leak at all. Lay it in the sun to see if it will get flexable again then install, should go back to being stiff but should possibly work.

There are a few changes on the list because it is going a bit too fast, but nothing major. Mostly cleanup and restoration of small parts. It's really hard to decide what gets left unrestored and what gets refinished or replaced. I guess It is mostly a gut feeling thing.
I like to think what I would be looking for if I was a buyer- even though the truck is NOT for sale. Then, weigh it against the cost of and come up with a decision. It has made me feel good about it all so far. I definitely have spent more than I thought I would, but seriously, who doesn't? 🤣

My good buddy Rob aka @landcrusher909 was commenting on the wacked out shackle angle. With the Dobinsons lift, they say they keep the shackle angle close to straight. It is getting closer to straight whilst adding parts. The triple secret surprise front bumper and 8274 should pull it down nicely. 😁

Speaking of bumpers, I am having a tough time holding off of the awesome @OPMACHINE rear bumper. That thing is legit.

I started on the top. It has a ton of paint fade but still looks a lot better after scrubbing the rust stains off. Side to side comparison

Also, I just ordered a headliner from Cruiser Corps. While I plan to leave the original paint, I want to fix up the other interior details. At some point I have to get after the knobs on the dash

Did you find a headache rack? I have one if you need one.
Thank you, but I have mine. Just got most of the rust stains scrubbed off and it is going on!

Are those cityracer 16” wheels you have in there?

I bought them from a Mud member in the classifieds. Not for sure where they came from, but possibly Venezuela iirc. They are 16x6 . The hubcap clips are kind of homemade but seem to work ok. Unfortunately my 5th wheel in the set I bought had the center cut out and poorly reversed.

I do have another route I am working on. It is a 16x6 that I had the center opened up on for a Toyota hub. I still have to lay out the clip holes. I will try to get a picture of it when I am back at the shop

Does anyone know if I can still get a turn signal switch assembly for my truck? Or at least the switch itself? I can pull that from the assembly.

Thanks
