I just replaced the BEB's on my 1hdt with 160k klm. There were several with small pitting. #2 top was the worst. My oil gauge had been reading low since I got it but I figured it was just a faulty sender. Fired it up and found my oil pressure had improved. Before my reading at idle was almost bottomed out and running at 2000 rpm was just below the 1/3 hash mark. Now at idle it is sitting at 1/3 and 2000 rpm is about 1/2. Glad I got around to changing the bearings, probably did not have much life left.

500,xxx kms on mine. maybe i should check.

I keep the oil level at the upper end of the dip stick hash mark, so that has not changed. Also I'm using the same oil. Shell Rimula r3 15w40. Only thing that has changed before the better oil pressure reading was the BEB'S.

Factory sender wears out with age and will read low. I wouldn't trust it even if the reading has improved.

A couple splashes of lucas oil helps the oil pressure guage.
