I'm guessing Wake favored by about 3-5 pts as for 97 I dont know what happened back then I'm not old as hell like you Andy. :flipoff2: I just know its the last time we were ranked in the top 10 I'm not sure if that was with Rick Barnes or after he bailed and Larry s*** took over.

Even if Clemson beats Wake and then loses to UNC we would still be ahead of you both in the ACC. :flipoff2: Wake cause we have the head to head UNC cause you choked at home to some scrubs.

I'm a maybe leaning no at this time. Katie hasn't found a job yet so I'm paying for everything which means fun stuff like watching Clemson's first win in the Dean Dome get scrapped, along with any good beer I could have bought for watching it if I can't go. If she hears something this week I am in though.

Andy and others insert mocking here.

I've found someone who won't puss out.

To bad you won't be there to see Clemson make history.:flipoff2:

Can't help it I'm supporting two people and paying student loans on a government salary. I'm close enough to Chapel Hell that I can just walk outside my door after the game and I'll probably be able to hear the tarhole fans crying.

I await your personal attack, but remember I am still a MOD :grinpimp:

really wish you could have made this one because no one is at better belligerent s*** talker than you sir

I will take on tar hell nation all by my lonesome........ hope the wine and cheese crowd can handle my white trash wasys :bounce::bounce2:

Richard's same sad list of BS doesn't even matter at this point.

I guess we're all figuring out Richard's middle name is really "Excuse" because when it comes time for Superfan to man up and go see his beloved Tigers compete, the lame excuses flow like a torrential rain swollen river...

Long live RER, Tiger nation Superfan of the couch potatoes!!!! :grinpimp:

There are meaningful games all season long and for years to come, that happens when you have a good coach who builds your program which we do. I will have plenty of opportunities. We'll probably be ranked higher next yr since we'll finally get some credit going into the season.

JP you do make minimum wage but thats like Katie making minimum wage since she is the breadwinner in your house. :flipoff2: And trust me I have more loans then you can imagine. I could buy your house with my loans, and probably finish that garage with the leftovers.

Well not exactly the outcome I had hoped for but it was a pretty good game. You could see times where Clemson showed how good they are like when they cut the 12 point lead to 1, and times where Wake dictated the flow of the game which is why they won. Wednesday is still HUGE can't wait.

It was a good game for sure. I knew that 14 point lead wouldn't last and I was proud that Wake maintained composure and showed some real maturity with an 8-0 run after you guys cut the lead to one. Littlejohn was impressive with the noise and big game atmosphere.

Clemson has a good team this year. If you can keep from melting down after the game against UNC on Wednesday you should be fine the rest of the way.

It is good to see Wake the unanimous #1 in both polls with the new rankings out today. That was a pretty tough stretch of hoops over the last week with beating then #3 UNC at home, drumming BC on the road and then another road win against Clemson on the road.

Like I always say, all ACC road wins are huge, no matter the opponent.

Interesting to see you guys didn't move in either poll, still 10 / 9 even after the Wake loss on Saturday.

It was a good game and I think if we go to UNC and control the tempo like we want as opposed to the Wake game where you dictated tempo for the majority of the game then we will win or be right in it at the end. I really didn't think we would drop more then a spot or two if at all. Think about it we lost to the current number 2/3 team in the country in a fairly tight game. Meanwhile 2 other teams above us lost and two teams close below us lost. It was just a lot of shuffling around in the top 10 really. It was also just our first loss of the yr. If we lose to UNC I think we will still be in the top 15 probably. Just can't afford to lose after that b/c we play GT and VT neither of whom is ranked.

If I hadn't quit gambling on college hoops, tonight's UNC / Clemson game would be hard to resist.

UNC a 15.5 point favorite?? I like Clemson in that bet.

Even when I did gamble I never bet on Wake but that line looks good tonight too.

I'll root on your tigers in the nose dome for you Richard.

In a season of dismal hoops hopes the ol Gamecocks won a miracle
finish game vs the Gators last night. That victory will go down in legends at USC
not for it's significance but for the manner in which it was won.
Oh and I missed the end of the CU vs O Forever game after half time.
WTF...it was so close. Refs must have gotten paid at half time. ;)
Sorry Andy, but it was a bubble that just had to burst sometime. NOBODY
goes undefeated anymore. I still like WF to win the ACC.

You didn't miss much in the second half David, we shot about 20%, the press was miserable, we turned it over a lot, Hansborough bricked a dunk and we got called for a foul, and then KC Rivers got run over and was called for a block, and that pretty much put it away in the first 5 minutes of the second half when UNC went on a run of about 15-2.

Yes the refs lost the game for Clemson. Richard good call. There was absolutely no way Clemson could win the game cause of the refs. Even if Clemson would actually have made a basket in the second half the refs had already decided UNC was going to win the game.

The fact that Clemson had about 30 fans there of which most screemed like little girls.
The fact they blew a good first half
The fact they were shut down on 3 pt shots in the second half
The fact they were unable to get a rebound in the second half

Non of that mattered because the refs made bad calls that lost the game for them.

Thank god you didn't go Richard. I'm sure all the other Clemson fans who didn't show up and support their team in an important historical game had the same view as you did.

"It wasn't my fault we lost the game. I'm gonna blame it on someone else."

I didn't once say the refs lost us the game, we lost the game because of the way we played the second half, no doubt about it we couldn't make anything and we were sloppy. I was just pointing out some of the quality officiating which occurs on tobacco road every yr. 2 or 3 terrible calls in the middle of a run like that can keep a team rolling or stop them dead. I don't know where you were sitting but if you thought Hansborough got fouled on that dunk attempt it must have been courtside next to the blind ref. They actually showed the replay on tv to point out how he wasn't touched. :flipoff2: Don't tell me the crowd errupting on a garbage call doesn't have an affect on the other team either because if you think that you must have never played a sport. We lost because of bad play but I'm sick of you little :princess: up there getting garbage calls because you have the refs up your a**. Not that I could hear the game over the sound of Dick Vitale sucking Handsborough off anyway.

Ha, ha. Go Zam. Way to go from goat to hero. Gotta love those GaTech transfers... :D

Him and Downey make a pretty stout backcourt if you ask me.

No worries on the loss, it was bound to happen. We were drained from that tough 7 day, 3 big game stretch and the Deacs have never done well with the glitz and glory of that numero uno ranking...

Yeah, I never expected to go undefeated. Hopefully this is a learning opportunity over the next week off and we're as focused and hungry as ever when the Dookies come calling next Wednesday.

Yeah, that's one benefit of being there to see it in person. Then you just get blinded by his chrome dome and get to listen to JP and goat fans play nice and make up after getting into it last year...

It was a game of two halves for sure. You guys were pretty uninspired in the 2nd half, regardless of home cooking, real or imagined.

Figuring out how to D up on Ellington would have been a good idea too, especially since he found his shot against Miami on Sat night and he seriously smoked you guys in all three meetings last year.
