Trying to figure out if the axle shafts for the front are different on a 1997 locked vs unlocked..

I have yet to find that they are different but figured someone probably knows and can be a hero!

Thanks!

The housings are different on locked vs unlocked.

Do you have both in front of you? Did you count the splines? Do they match?

I know the housing is different because if you retrofit you have to drill and cut the non locked housing.
One is still assembled, I'll take it apart tomorrow and figure it out.

Front shafts are the same.

Rear Passenger side is the only shaft that is different.. the splined section on it is longer.
