Well, waiting patiently. Bought a pig from Breakenridge Kraig. Waiting for delivery. Gonna swap in a 3b and H55.

Will post pictures when I can.

At least upside down bezels will not be an issue.

Lots of questions pending.....

Best,

T

Pic that was sent to me.

I guess it is a bit dated but car needs total resto, conversion to power steering, and conversion to Turbo 3B with conversion to H55.

I have a factory PTO to place on it, so the other winch currently on there will go to the rear as extra insurance.

Then I'm thinking 18 inch steel rims, weld on tabs to hold hubcaps, and chrome rim liners. Considering 12 inch wide tires, with a 3 to 3.5 inch offset to make up for taller tires in turns. (Car has a 3 inch lift... Any ideas on going for 37" tall?)

Gonna have to figure out some kind of fender flare combination. Anyone got ideas for front and rear flairs?

Later I can do electrics.

I figure paint in a year or two, just Rustoleum or POR for now to prevent worsening of the cancer.

Best,

T

Please start a build thread - i am waiting for the right 55 to come up (down under) for similar plans - i was actually thinking 12H-T....

I've seen this truck in Kraig's driveway. It's a good one. Very clean and straight. It'll sound good with a 3B clattering away under there...

Dan

Great to hear!

I get the truck in a couple of hours.

I'll snap some pics.

Best,

T

P.S. - will 37" tires fit with the 3 inch lift? or is it better to go 35"?

Rear tailgate was mangled in transport. So was front bumper.

Rear hatch showing bare unrusted steel, so I clicked images immediately!

Smaller pic is close-up of just one of the several areas exhibiting damage and bare steel.

Tailgate handle is bent and scratched, as are license plate light assemblies.

Driver said it was not him, shipper says they will go through insurance.

Shipper said on phone car's rear hatch was good prior to shipping, so maybe he will put it in print?

I will wait and see if I need to sue them all.

The shipping agency was Aaron at Summit Auto Transport.

If they make good I will post.

I'm not happy.

WTF ?!? How could these fawking guys be so careless when it's their livelihoods ??

I could not agree more.

I will need a new working tailgate.

Wonder how much that'll set me back

Thanks for the support,

T

Plenty of tailgates lying around...I know of some in Sacramento, more in Denver. Cheap to you...

That really sucks, I hope they do the right thing and take care of it quickly.

That sucks, Im sure they will take care of it. I used Aaron at Summit and had a great experience.

Glad to hear you think he is good. Perhaps he will do the right thing. I'll keep you all posted.

Charles, just saw the pics above. Definitely NOT how it was when loaded. As I said on the phone, let me know if I can help in any way.

Sucks that happened after waiting so long. if there is a good and inexpensive replacement, Pighead will know where to find it.

Grr.

Oh, THAT Pig...Why, I was sitting in the back of that just a week or two ago, getting the rear window down so an engine could go in the back.

Yepper! That's the one. Thanks for yer help!

Sorry to have to ask for more regarding a new tailgate shell:(

I think I also need to rebuild the starter. Who sells a good cheap toyo 12 volt starter kit?

Thanks
