To mount the Tesla booster I just drilled new holes in the firewall. And reinforced the brake pedal bracket for it. Yea I can run the intake pipe over there that’s a pretty good idea.

Have you seen the Torfab thread about running the Bosch iBooster? Any thoughts on this versus the route that you went with the Tesla booster?

Well the torfab would be a bolt in affair which is an easy option. Mine took some fabrication and some figuring out

Haven’t posted many updates but I’ve just about got everything dialed in. I’ve been running wth zero check engine lights and no issues for about 7000 miles. I now have tap shift working. Next up will be cruise control before I head to Colorado at the end of this month. Here is a video kinda explaining everything

Are you attending SAS ?

If anyone is on the fence about doing a LM2 swap in your 80 and live out west area. I’ll be around the ouray/ Telluride area next week and I’ll be more than happy to let you drive mine
You driving through Denver? I'd love to compare my manual, FTE on 35's to the LM2/10speed auto.

I finally made some time to make a proper intake. Using a Ramair sealed filter pulling air from the inner fender. Should work great with a snorkel

Also replace the original turbo with a new one from the LZ0 Duramax. I had some shaft play on the LM2 turbo and was getting some oil in the intercooler pipes. This LZ0 turbo is suppose to spool a little faster, it has a 11 blade exhaust side instead of the 9 blade the LM2 has. So far that seems correct.

One of the things I appreciate about what you've done on this project is the way you're trying a bunch of different things. Really helpful for anyone thinking of trying their own.
