For simplicity, air-cooled V8 diesel engine.
What do you think? 2 hours tops?

2 decades, running full tilt full load, as long as you give it the air to breath and room to get rid of it.
I’ve had a Deutz 70 hp and one 250 hp in equipment. My understanding is there is no head gasket in some of them because the tolerances are so good.

It’s hilarious you guys talking about doing a EV swap jokingly like you don’t know me by now, lol

This is my 1st gen Tacoma I did a couple years ago. Full Tesla Model 3 performance rear drive unit and full battery pack

I would think wheel motors would be a perfect fit in a crawler type 4wd? Opens up the suspension to anything goes?

Best swap to combat current fuel prices

Also, I think I can get this one done in a couple days with my current skill set!
Hey, don't be makin' fun of the Flintstones. They ARE the modern stone age family.
See who can guess what movie this line is from. "Barney Rubble, what an actor!"

On another note. I guess the wellness check is a waste of time.

Just putting the 1fz back in desil has gotten to expensive
Shoot. I had to drive down to my father’s house today and he lives 2 hours away. I got to thinking I’m getting around 25mpg currently in the crusier. When I had the L8T or the LT1 I was maybe getting 10mpg tops. Diesel would have to be 10 bucks a gallon for it to not be worth it. 1fz would have probably been the same if not worse with me being on 37s.
Cost me 52 bucks in diesel today for the trip at 6.50 a gallon. With the V8 or a 1FZ it would of cost me 96 bucks and that’s with 10mpg and gas at 4.80

I think the best my FTE managed was 22-24mpg, 35's, h152F. All highway around 70-75mph.

Why smaller displacement diesels didnt catch on in the states is beyond me. I'll always have at least one in the fleet.
