Helping a friend to sell a 1972 Toyota FJ55 Iron Pig. Originally a Flagstaff truck. Runs, stops and starts. Could be an excellent project for someone. Lots of extra parts. Asking $6500. Ask for Pat 928-499-8794. Truck is in Chino Valley. Currently has a 2F from a 1977 and 3 Speed on the floor. Or send email at: pkirshman@cableone.net

More pics: extra fenders, body, too many parts to list.

Rear lift gate struts, two factory Toyota used. $20 for pair, still plenty of life left. They work but require a bump to get lift gate up all the way.

New in box aftermarket struts, from Austrailia. $30 pair.

80 series? I'll take the aftermarket ones, if so.

Personally would rather have a 2000 or newer with with Traction Control over the limited slip rear axle in the 98/99 LX. 98/99 LC at least had a rear locker option.

Never understood stating the transfer case locks. Every Land Cruiser since the FJ25 had a transfer case that locked in 4WD. If it did want would it be a AWD?:meh:

FREE FREE FREE 60 series stuff: I have four rims that are different from my 62's they have eight blanks rather than six like my chrome rims. I'm keeping the tire. they are six-bolt 15-inch and I got them in a 60 deal several years ago. the guy wasn't sure what they were from. also the FJ60 Brush guard which I repainted and is in fantastic shape. It has tabs for mounting lights on each side -- in NW Peoria at Storage unit. PM me or call 623-332-3516.

PS the brush guard fits on my 62 but the bar obscures part of my double headlight array. here's a pic of the light tabs.

For Sale: 97 LX 450 232k original miles $12,500. Approximately $14,000 in maintenance records since I have owned it over the past 3.5 years. Much more spent on modifications and maintenance that I don't have records for. Some of the things I have had done/replaced since owning it:

Rebuilt engine 50,000 miles ago
Recent head gasket job done with ARP head studs
Fan clutch
Thermostat
Water pump
Power steering pump
Brake master cylinder
Brake booster
Front and rear brakes both done in Dec 2016
Engine mounts
U Joints on rear and front driveshafts
Rebuilt front driveshaft
A/C compressor
Radiator
Pesky Heater Hose( PHH) replaced with Samco silicone hose and constant torque clamps
Tie rod ends
Front suspension bushings and some rear
Windshield washer pump
Hood struts
Spark Plug wires
Coolant hoses
Drive belt
Knock sensors
All the EGR equipment (permanently fixed so it will never throw a code again)
Just recently had the cooling system flushed and AC system serviced
Brand new windshield

These are the main things that I have records for. There is some minor stuff I haven't listed. I had all service done at Camelback Toyota by their very Land Cruiser savvy tech (Tom). They know me well and every time I take it in a have them look over everything and I have had everything fixed that they recommended. I just had it in a couple weeks ago.

Modifications done:

Aussie locker in rear
CDL switch
TJM Progressive 2.5" springs
TJM Caster correction bushings
OME Steering stabilizer
Icon 2.0 shocks
LCP Swaybar QD's
Swaybar drop spacers
Snorkel
Blue Sea fusebox
USB ports for charging
Extra 12V plug
Pioneer touchscreen bluetooth in-dash DVD
Rear DVD drop-down screen
Depo lights with LED's all around
Front Runner Roof Rack
5 315/75/16 BFG KO2's that are 2 years old. 4 have 9/32 tread and the 5th is never used.
Dometic CDF-11 console fridge/freezer

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I do have the 3rd row seats, just not pictured. I also have the stock console if you don't want the fridge/freezer (I'd knock a few hundo off if you don't want it). Truck isn't perfect but it's in great shape for almost 22 years old and. The only thing I would have done (if I wasn't getting rid of it) would be to get the camber correction bearing from Slee to correct the slight camber issue. It isn't hurting anything, but with it the alignment would be perfect. As it is it pulls right when you're on a road with any crown or slope. If it's flat it isn't really noticeable. Also, the oil pressure gauge has recently stopped working all together. It was working intermittently, but has stopped working completely within the last few months. PM if you have any questions or want to see the truck.

Just going on the info here, that's one of the few trucks I've seen for sale that looks like it's worth the price.

I'm a cheap mofo, so you should probably consider raising it. :hillbilly:

Found this 2003 LC on Auction Nation website this morning. The vehicle is being auctioned in Mesa. 9 hours left in the auction at $750 looks like a steal although I did not search the VIN and service history. Good luck to anyone bidding.

My 97 did not come with fobs or remote locks. It did however come with the module (is tgat the right word for the black box that talks to the fob) and If I can find the factory plugin, Inwas going to get keyfobs. Do I have to use an 80 series fob, or is there another yota or aftermarket fob that will talk to it?
