35x12.5r15 was the best I could do without buying unicorns. I would have preferred a 35x10.5 but those are almost all bias tires.

Thanks for sharing. That's good to know, great size. Need that in a 16" size now. Load range C is a bonus too, much prefer that over E. BFG is going the wrong direction they keep on increasing the load range on their tires. I see the new KM3 in a 315/75/16 is now load range E, it was a D before. C or D is more than adequate for these vehicles. I cannot stand the ride of E rated on road even at lower psi.
That’s a great size. Doesn’t look like they offer that size in an all terrain.

I think I found some good options for semi off road tires.
Lots of 34-35" tall 10.2 or less wide options here unless I am missing something?

So I finally picked up a set of Sequoia wheels, 17x7.5 alloys.
I’m going to run these Nitto Trail Grappler wheels in 35x11.5r17.
(I found zero other options in this size).
I wish I knew definitely what size wheel spacers to order now & have them in-hand when I install the tires.
Unfortunately I’ll probably need to take some width measurements once the wheel/tire combo is on the cruiser before ordering.
Sequoia wheels are .75” less backspace than stock. I would use 1.25” spacers for a net 4” backspace, which is perfect.
So Slee’s website only listed the 1.5” spacers for the Landcruiser.
The 1.25” spacers are for the FJ & pickups.
If 1.25” is correct for my application, anyone know the part number or have a link?
The 35x10.00-16 SX2's have been awesome on my 40, I want a set of the 37x12.00 for the 80 next.

I have 1-1/4" spacers on those wheels and would prefer 1".

Are you thinking 1”, which is .25” less backspace than stock, is just enough to keep the tires off the frame and inner wheel well, but then you have max stuff clearance to the wheel well opening?
I can’t see how it matters for a skinny 35, but maybe depending on how your bumpstops and shock travel are set so personally I’d value retaining the hub centric mounting over that 1/4”.

Of course. Ignore me. The hub centric ring on the spacer can’t have the bore size to fit over the hub.
Nitro makes 1” spacers. I got mine from Just Differentials. That’s what I run with 17x8.5 rims with -6mm offset (same backspace as stock) and previously ran with the stock rims.
The Sequoia wheels are -10mm offset, so just under a 1/2” difference than stock 80 wheels (0.39”). That would be inbound on the axle correct?
The Sequoia wheels are also a 1/2” narrower than 80 wheels at 7.5”, as opposed to 80 wheels at 8”.
I’m running an 11.5” wide tire, one-inch narrower than the “typical” 12.5” tire that is commonly available for 35” tires.
I want to get these wheels & tire combo back to stock width/track. Keep the steering geometry correct & avoid rubbing frame/springs or hitting fender & flares.
