I installed mine last night, by myself. One of the bolt holes didn't line up, but because there is an extra bolt hole on each side, I was able to secure the bumper with a total of 12 bolts. Now, I want to hurry up, and decide on my lift kit (and larger tires) because the front end is sagging a little.

anyone with install pictures yet?? Im stuck at work come on lets see em

Careful, AB, if Delancy sees that post, he will demand pictures. Of the Mrs., not of the bumper...
My lady likes it too. Its beastly looking!

It would be hard to turn down if it became "available." :flipoff2:

So I've been toying around with the idea of selling my AOE bumper. Anybody in Norcal want one??? :D I "might" want to go a different route with a front bumper

I think I want the bumper that's on the red 80 in the background!

Has anyone been able to mount a winch? I have a Warn XD9000I and it will not fit unless I cut quite a bit of the front grill and lower cowling. If you have can you post pics please.

Yep. Warn 12000 is the same. Need to cut two lower horizontals of grill and center of valance panel. Would also help to grind slightly on the light tabs to move it forward a bit.

I picked up a Badlands 12000 and it fits in place super easy. Sorry nopics its unmounted as the bumper awaits paint

New color consideration. Cleared patina compliments of DOT road salt

I see many of you guys pulling out your turn signals. Is that necessary? I'm thinking of leaving them in.

I'm going to try and leave them in as well, what's a little bit of trimming

Since Alex didn't provide hardware to mount the alum plate. I was thinking of leaving it off. Or does it serve a purpose other than advertise his business?

I didn't remove turn signals or trim anything. Fit was fine.

The cut out in the front bugs me the more and more I look at it. I could see damaging that area on an approach if you weren't careful. Other than that, I love the bumper. :D

Has anyone else received the 12V outlets that were supposed to ship separately from the bumper?

Yeah I hate the cut out. It is the weakest part of the bumper. I predict I will smash it in at some point. ARGHHH!!!!!

Nope no 12 volt outlet yet.

The back plate could add a layer (ply) to strengthen it I dunno. You knew the AOE cutout was there when you ordered it. If you hate it enough you could cut it out and weld a new sheet in pretty easily.

Fat-fingered on my iPhone using IH8MUD

How am I suppose to know it was this flimsy from pictures?

I think we discussed the option of not having the cut out... It was not an option as AOE wanted to mark their brand. Anything gutted out that much will degrade in structural integrity. The option to weld a plate over/behind it is a good idea that I want to explore.

Well it was nice enough for them to provide a template.

When I get(if I get) my plate and hardware, etc. I am going to put the plate on the outside and cover up the cutout.

I thought I would let you guys know, I never received what was expected. I got the bumper. It didn't have a box. It didn't come with any hardware or the backing plate and I didn't get the receptacle.
I contacted Alex @AOE and he said he would ship the missing parts. Its been nearly 3 weeks and I didn't get anything. So I sent a rather lengthy email and he called and said he would take care of it.

We'll see what happens. I don't have a lot of faith, so I bought OEM bolts from the dealer. If I need to make a plate myself, so be it, but I won't be displaying the AOE logo.
