Howd ya know i was a sucker for a free hat?
Great deal. Too many projects and too few dollars.

Going to meet the transit driver.... :D

Will do..... Waiting on my star subscription to go through with woody.
But i got to go get hardware as none was in the box. Box had a bumper and the AL plate.
What all should i be expecting or what do i need to report missing to Alex? # of bolts/boxs/bags etc
Or realistically anyone know the size off hand cause i doubt I can wait for replacements from AOE for a test fit

Here are a photos comparing AOE with a standard ARB
just 4 bolts in. 2 top and 2 bottom. All i could find in the shop.

Great shots!

oh man looking at the raw steel on the moonglow pearl im kinda diggin it :D
local Powdercoater says he has a matte clear powder but no clear clear, but could do a clear enamel paint.
It will either be some form of raw or color matched to the 1a6 as I have a clearcoat issue to fix anyways.

side profile is the only angle that ever looks a little aggressive or odd angled but you rarely see it from there. I was worried it was a little big in the face like some of the road armor and such brands but it is overall less busy than the ARB and I love it. The thing that surprises me the most is that i cannot see it while driving like i could the arb. Good and bad sides to that

socal you were near spot on. the front hoop sits 5'' further out than the ARB but i found I could reach the necessities underhood with ease. At 5'10'' i could reach oil cap easily and as you move to sides for other items the tube tapers back in giving better access. all in all id say if anything the PCV may be the only thing made more difficult to access by the bumper. Changing the belts could be a bit of a task but i did find out a 2x6x (6'?) piece of lumber fits perfect across the tubes for a nice bench.

Hmmm. I left Arcata a long time ago but that might be kinda groovy.

I figured id share this here as well but I told alex Id let him know if the Warn 12000 would fit after our conversation last week when I found out he didnt know or think it would. Well it wont bolt up without a little modding but it could fit. You would have to mod the grill (lose two bottom horizontals) and lose the valence panel and enlarge the slotted holes for the winch (away from face of bumper). To pretty a piece of laser cut goodness right now so im subbing in a smaller 12k winch but it could be done. He should make the slots 1/2 longer for the winch to allow folks the opportunity to run it if they were fine cutting the grill.

Thanks for sharing :) I remember this was discussed, Alex said it needed to be modded to fit Warn 12k.
BTW, your water proofing technique on the rotors is state of the art stuff...

I modded my ac dryer by using a piece of aluminum angle. I was able to carefully tuck it in angled toward the frame. I then sprayed it rubberized undercoating. I used the one original hole and tapped the angle with a 6mm so I was able to use the same bolt.

Nice work Marty, thanks for sharing. So I'm still bumperless :*( there's one in my garage but can't put it on haha.

No idea but it's very stout while taking minimalist approach to the extreme. Not sure if it would mesh well with my rear bumper but I really like it. It's an early prototype built by 4x4Labs.

Not a true bolt-on though as you need to cut some sheet metal away, otherwise it would all protrude behind the bumper.

Did he mention price? Trimming metal might suck a bit, but approach angle is nice.
Hit 4 runner bumper is made by 4x4?

Did everyone mount their bumper yet? Any issues?
