Never got a decal or my refund for not having it painted.
But I did get an outlet. Its from west marine.

The weather warmed up so I played with finishing ideas... here is what I have so far...

here's my solution to the front license plate, sandwiched it between bumper and the fairlead about 1/2-3/4" down. I tried my best to pull it out with my hands but it wouldn't budge so I figure it's good enough, no hardware or extras.

Well everybody,
I may be able to say that I was first with this AOE bumper to test how it holds up against rolling the 80 on a highway.
If you have flares still, expect them to get impaled by the wings lol :hillbilly:
Other than that and some road rash, the mount on the inside for the cutout really doesn't provide any extra support, like some were hoping. You can see in the first and last picture where it was pulled out, and on the inside the mount bent in a shallow v shape.
Hopefully I can bend this back into shape somehow and transplant it onto my next 80.
Or leave it as is... :meh:
any thoughts?

WTH happened??? I hope you have a good excuse for rolling an 80 on the highway... Anyways, I hope you are well.
As for fixing that bumper, that seems like a toughy.

If i was the one to roll it, I doubt I'd feel man enough to ever post on here again. 4 of my buddies and I were going out to bar hop. I wanted to see if our DD was capable of driving the 80 so I let him drive us there. He got cut off by a guy stopped in a closed off lane and over corrected big time to avoid a collision. Needless to say, we were doing two wheel acrobatics on both sides for a while until it rolled and came to a stop on the passenger side. All 6 of us climbed out unharmed, so that's all that really matters.

I'm not to skilled in metal work, what would make this tough? My Sean Huston rear bumper had the ladder bent out to about a 30 degree angle. Will that be tough to fix too?

I'm glad everybody is doing well, trying to pull out the front bumper is challenging because you are pulling against two bends, the bar, and the rest of the bumper. Pulling back a flat sheet of metal may be easier but when you add a bend to it, it makes it extremely difficult. Just imagine trying to stand up a flat piece of paper, not so easy, but fold it in the middle and it stand up just fine. I have no experience with metal work like this, maybe bolt it to the ground and pull it out with a truck?

I hit a tree dead on. The tree top snapped off and came crashing down on my roof. No damage to the bumper.
