I got a call from Alex at AOE this morning. He didn't like the way the clear coat looks since the bumpers get blasted before PC. He is making another and will ship it raw with some rustoleum clear.
I got a new compressor for Christmas, so now I have an excuse to get a die grinder and a ton of roloc discs....

I got a call from Alex at AOE this morning. He said my bumper was shipped out today (Friday). He said I should see it in 4 business days. Which this means it will not go under the Christmas tree

I never really thought it would ship on time. Quite frankly I'm ok with taking a little extra time to ensure a good product rather than rush to vet it shipped.

I am not upset, just seems like anymore a lot of companies are over promising and under delivering. I might be more upset if the product was not so damn good!! Hopefully I am next on the call list.

sorry guys, I didn't think it would get pushed back this far. I guess I know what to expect now, for these sort of things anyways. When I was helping my dad with his sign fabrication/manufacturing, no matter how tight the deadlines or difficult the jobs, we hauled ass, worked over night, ate quick and never once late for any job. That's the way always done things and I was expecting the same.

Group buys are great opportunities for vendors to get large quantities of their product out into the market. I would be surprised if corners were cut on this batch just to meet a deadline. Way too much downside for AOE, in my opinion. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until the product arrives.
