This price is for painted... maybe they would powdercoat for a little extra...

Painted is fine with me. How about the color? Do you think we could get everyone to agree to the OEM gray, or will they do them whatever? Thanks for the legwork, Mark!

If I was 'in', and I'm probably not, I'd want powder-coated fj40 gray.

What tire are you planning to run on these?

I have a set of 34x9x16 Swampers...

I am not in...at least not unless I buy a BJ42 any time soon :D, but that being said, I would rather have OEM gray painted.
Keep us posted on how this group buy goes, and how the rims fit if you guys get them

there is this wheel listed for the USA/Canada market .on the FJ45 - 5.5x16

in the general market it was used on a fj60/62 also's

42610-60021 is probably the plain steel I want that is not available as per my dealer.... I HAVE a set of the 6J16 chrome wheels that I want to swap out for the narrower 5.5 steelies...

I have a set of 16" split rims that are factory on my 45. So you might be able to track some down up here in Canada. P.S. Mine are for sale as well but need paint because when I took the truck to get sand blasted the guy blasting also blasted the axles and got the wheels which sucks.

did more cross referencing for ya .looks like the number has been updated a few more times in other markets who knows if the wheel is still the same .but here are the pics .

number goes from

#42610-60021 to
#42610-60022 to
#42610-60022-03 to the newest

# 42610-60111-03 used up to the year 08/1997 on hilux and 4runner

there might be some of these in AUS .who knows ,
see pics of part numbers crossing over and to what models used these wheels

what year was your 45 77 to 80 or so years

Found this on another forum, dunno if its correct:

"I have a 94 Trooper LS with the factory alloys. By my calcs the backspacing is 5.5" and the lug pattern is 6x5.5."

What do you all think? Any chance for a group buy or should we just roll individually? I'm pretty anxious to get my rig finished. The current mags are killing me.

I doubt we'll get 10 people to pony up... and I am looking into getting a set of 15" stock steelies made into 16"... waiting on prices... AND I'm thinking about stock split rims too...

Im kind off topic... i have the 4 runner 16" spare rims on my 40, dont remember the BS but i have spacers already thanks the PO...5 rims shipped to my door out of ebay $250.00..im running 9.00-16 NDT military tires, i was looking for split rims and also send an email to ask for price on Stockton CO. but that $ scare me out.

Those look really good on your safari rig. Very similar also to the FJ cruiser OEM steel wheels, which are 17" I think. The FJ wheels come up cheap once in a while.
