Build Another Texas LS1 Swap

Just got back from the maiden voyage. Our clubs have a yearly get together in Glimer Texas at Barnwell Mountain. About 700 miles round trip. I was getting 15.3mpg on the highway going 70 - 80ish. The engine loves to run when the RPMs are around 2300. Going 80 is not problem. When I redo the exhaust, I am definitely running it outside the frame rails. The heat from the center section was noticeable. Another thing I noticed was the fuel pump was noisier. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe heat? Here are a couple of pics. The second is a trail called Dewoody. It's a 5 diamond trail.

Awesome work!
I am currently reworking the harness from the '06 L33 I bought. I have all the pins mapped out, and I built a fuse block/relay center for the motor. Still waiting for the adapter from AA. I have a set of LS3 exhaust manifolds on the way (not a fan of headers and this swap has to be 100% emissions compliant). The PCM is currently getting reprogrammed as well.

Integrating the toyota wiring harness looks like a challenge - mainy that IH1 connector. This seems to be point where the primary integration is going to happen. Did you find a pin-out diagram for the '94 FZJ80 for this connector?

I have the EWD for a 95. That is a busy connector.

yes it is

I downloaded the pdf file on the '96 EWD. Hopefully they are close.

Cruise control integration is going to be fun. It seems that Mr T set up the cruise control ECU so that it senses a different resistance from each setting of the switch. In other words, to set the cruise, it the switch grounds the signal wire at 198 ohms, to resume/acc it grounds at 68 ohms and to cancel it takes 418 ohms. The TAC module for DBW only uses a positve voltage to perform these tasks... I think a dissection of the toyota cruise switch is in order to see if the contacts can be 'reassigned' to work with battery voltage and not with grounding.

PEDAL FIXED!!!!! I put in one from a 03 suburban. No more.throttles issues.

Sweet ... I missed it are you running cats

Just ordered a 6" Ironman lift from MetalTech. Besides Slee's, it was the only "kit" I found. I was trying to decide between the 4 and 6 as I only have 1/4" between my front DS and bell housing. So my wife says, get the 6" lift to make sure. Then I said well I'll also have to get new tires and wheels because the ones I have on it will be too small. She then said, just sell the ones you have and use that money to get bigger tires. I love her!!!

What size tire are you running now. I might take em off your hands, im looking for something a bit bigger for my stock height ome...

BFG AT KO 295/75/16. They are fairly new. I'll be selling all 5 of them with the wheels and caps. The spare has never been on the ground. Next time at Cruisers and coffee or BBQ you can look at them.

Here's some pics. Front is almost done. I just need to tighten up some things. Here's a pic were had to notch the mount.
