Well, I am finally able to write about this. It happened two weeks ago and I was able to take pictures today. I was t-boned in an intersection by a jetta. I am still recovering from back pain but I have been able to work. She was going fast enough to shove me over nearly into the next lane. There was not much left of the front of her car. Its a strange thing to see someone at the last second running straight for you.

I have a few more. You can see how bad the floor is buckled. The motor and drivetrain shifted and put a dent in the hood. What you cant see is that the front axle and tire was pushed into the steering box and frame. I can see the rub marks where contact was made. The spring hangers are also bent and the fan broke all of its blades when it tore through the radiator. Thats all for now. I dont even want to go out there and get in deeper. Just waiting to get things sorted out with the insurance.

hope the healing goes well. also hope she had insurance

That's tough to even look at. Hope your recovery goes well.

I wonder how much of a difference sliders would have made?

I dont know how much since it seems the frame is twisted due to the engine denting the hood from the inside.

That makes me sick at my stomach...I think I'll throw-up !!

Glad you were not hurt any worse...backs can take a while to heal.

good luck

Thanks for the shoulder guys:crybaby: I think the truck is totaled. I did wonder about the sliders as they were on my short list of things to do. I think I will look for another 55 since I have so many parts. I was looking at one on craigs list but have not been called back.

Does anyone know who this is? I plan on being in Davis over the weekend and thought I would head on up to check it out. Some of you Sac guys must know something about it.

The back is getting better, just hope I didn't damage a disc. Still waiting to hear about the insurance.

Thanks

There ain't nothin' a few rolls of duct tape and 5 gallons of bondo can't fix.

Kidding, I hope the claims adjuster treats you right and that minimal attorney contact is needed. You may want to gather some documentable info on fair market value, which is likely much higher than the book valuation.

55

That FJ55 seems to be the one that sold on EBAY two weeks ago for over 3k.
