*axial play :D

Not going to put a seal kit in it while she's out?
Thanks for the correction! :)

Most likely not, looks like nobody here in Finland sells seal kits for CT26's, and from eBay (china USA) shipping will take at least one month, i ain't got time for that. Of course, if i had a seal kit i definitely would put it in.

Thank you for the link @hj 60 not sure yet if i get the old turbo refurbished and sell it.. or find a supra comp wheel + housing and throw it in eventually. Will see.
Actually, i was looking for supra turbo but didn't find any. Had to settle w/ stock turbo this time. :(

However, got the old turbo out. Some of the nuts like e-manifold to turbo was pretty PITA, oil outlet pipe was too. Not to forget exhaust flange bolts...

Will throw "new" turbo in tomorrow and reroute exhaust.

Everything has been finally done. I was too exhausted to update here but better later than never.
New turbo is in.
New cooling fluid, 15.4 Liter.
Exhaust pipe has been rerouted.
BFG's mounted, 2.8 bar air pressure.
Test driven.

Original exhaust from the turbo, 4 bends after turbo is not really efficient?

Cut wheel there and here.

Equals in 2 bends less.

Planning, measuring, welding...

Fits nicely. Sounds and whistles little bit better. May flow better too.

Nasty.
005.jpg

Exhaust tip hangs bit too low but will redo eventually.

Looks so poor with skinny tires

You need new tires :flipoff2:
Nice turbo setup, thanks for the pictures.
I was welding stainless a few days ago and that was nice to do so welding a exhaust is possible... I need a ct26 :hmm: :bounce:

Just a little update.

Got a great deal for a box of new LEDs, i had to get them.
Box contains 8 pieces of 48W Flood LED lights, 2 for each corner. 3x brighter than the old ones.
I have to admit, the rack now looks kind of empty with only 2 lights per corner.. oh well got to live with it i guess. I have also been thinking about replacing those two huge halogen aux driving lights with a LED bar or two. But once again, there is so many to choose from as i want distance (spot beam) and some of flood light to cover closer areas, from the same bar.

Out with the old.

And in with the new.

Love the look of the blacked out grill and headlight surrounds. Gonna do the same to mine.

Snow storm hit the country, we got about 15cm of snow. Hope it's permanent this time. Probably not, +4 degrees sat-mon. However, i and bunch of friends of mine went for a ride and fry some food at a nice old hut (sorry no pic of it) at the end of an unmaintained road.
I would definitely take a lot more (better!!) pictures if i had better camera.
But that's it for now, try to bear with my pixel pics.

Man that looks like a good winter drive

I bought them from a Finnish heavy machinery shop, which imports those cheapie chinese LED work lights. ~20$/ea or 19€.
These looks like to be pretty much exact lights i bought. 10X 48W spot LED Off road Work Light Lamp 12V 24V JEEP boat Truck Driving UTE There's tens and tens lights like that, just picked first ad as an example.

Can't really say anything about LED bars yet as i don't have one. Personal experiences i mean.
I've been looking for them but there is way too many to choose from, as i want and need far away and close area light from the same bar.
Not sure is it possible tho. :poof: From my understanding, CREE LED bars provides great close area light (great for roof racks?), but light distance is low and usually blue-ish as color temperature is 6500k.
Osram and Philips bars (fish eye lenses) can throw the light far more further but the beam batter is... (dunno how to describe) boxy or, "limited".
"Galaxy beam" as sellers call it. 23Inch 240W Osram Led Work Flood Spot Light Bar Offroad 4WD Driving Truck VS 210

I sure have been working hard with that damn mat knife! Asks more muscle than you first except..
I've been eyeing for tire groovers but those costs way too much for my liking, +300 €uro..:censor:

"Ideal Tire Groover" seems to be a lot cheaper, only ~90 bucks:hmm: + blades. How quick do the blades worn out?
Thanks for the tip, gotta keep that in my mind.

The blades last a long time. Probably you would have used one or two for all the tires you did by hand. When the knife is hot it can cut so fast its very easy to cut too deep or far. Ask me how I know...

Love the sound of that rig, straight up awesomeness.

Threw some more LEDs on the rack at friends shop (big thanks to him!!), would have been too cold to do at my yard, -20c + damn windy weather. These are the old LEDs (28W) that i took off to be replaced with the new 48W LEDs.
Didn't wire them yet as i was out of wire, and all the local hardware stores were closed... bummer.
And the pics! Btw it was nice change to melt all the ice that was built up.:)

And then noticed this :bang::censor::deadhorse:
Front crankshaft oil seal i assume.. So typical, fix one leak and discover at least one new!
