sweet! watch out for those neighbors though!

i think we'll take the new 4r and do stocker trails. Momma likes the mix of not being in the truck EVERYDAY as well. shrug. It will be good to get back up there, I was bummed missing last year.

I think my site has power. So bring an extension cord if you want to plug anything in.

Those of you who has a spot, please post up your site # if you haven't done so. I have a site map that I will fill out with the info and post up. We can use it for future reference.

I've got #6 (thanks John) for Justin and I

And as usual I hop to have a working vehicle by that time!

Yeah what he said...

should in theory be able to choose which 4x4 to take by then but we'll see...even after the Smurf is running i'll still need tires.

But hopefully will have the 4Runner taken apart put back together again by that point!

Good gawd Steve, what are you doing to the 4Runner now?

Well...sigh

Still echoing BS from the rebuild 2 years ago, about every 5-8 months i end up adjusting the valves and now cylinder 1 has an intake valve that is so far out of adjustment Toyota doesn't even make a shim thin enough. So after talking to Todd @ Budlong he thinks I'm running lean and "tuliping" the valve. So as the valve overheats it gets pulled through the head and is then being shaped like a tulip. Long story shortish heads need to come off and probably be reworked and start working through the possible causes (hoping intake gaskets).

Good news is I'll have the Chevy 305 back in the Smurf and running in a few weeks...so I can pull the 4R apart. Oh and after that my front diff needs rebuild with fresh gears - a problem starting 6 years ago when i blew up a CV shaft.

Might take the Smurf but will need to find tires (35x12.5x15) hopefully used and not too much $$$...

Or take the wife's FJC? Sorry to hear about the issues.

I thought you like me Ali...why are you trying to get me killed?

I figure worst case I'll ride along and be camera crew...flight crew...MTB crazy guy...and or see how far we can push Justin's 2wd ford ranger:hillbilly:

and if i was really hard up I'd drive my parents Suzuki sidekick or Pleasure Way RV and bum rides during the day ;)

-Sidekick would be fun for a stock challenge...

The sidekick will be ok I bet.
