Received a box today full of patch panels from Real Steel. Two rear quarter patches, inner and outer rockers for the drivers side, drivers floor pan, and the bed supports. So far they look like a decent product. The rear quarters are not a full 90*, the floor pan is warped pretty bad but I think that is just the nature of the product. It looks like once I start tacking it into place it will be perfect. The bed supports do not come with the nuts that are welded on for the roll bar mount, no biggie, I can drill and weld em in place. Time will tell. This week I have been working on redbuilding the steering linkages, new tie rod ends, and some rattle can paint and it is all back together, almost.

a little shot of some steering work.

@Jdc1 what are your thoughts on the panels you bought?

My floorpan came in warped as well. Nice heavy guage steel. Quarters are nice. Rockers look pretty close to oem. I will make a post on mine tomorrow after the body guy sees them. I have a flatbed scheduled for 130p tomorrow. Its about to get ugly.

Finished the tie rod ends tonight, torqued them down, all that is left with the steering is to adjust the lengths of everything. A basic alignment.

I started on one of the rear quarter patches, I didn't do much, more of a test fit. Had to cut a notch in one of the flanges that covers the rear sill. Got a ballpark line scribed so I can get to cutting tomorrow evening.

Cant wait to see progress. Coolerman has the basic steering measurements on his website if you havnt seen them yet.

I was just pulling measurements from the FSM, I'm wondering if I should look at coolermans site and compare them.

Hes usually pretty close. Quick tip, chase the lower right mounting threads for the ds fender(on frame) before you tighten the draglink between steering box and center arm.

Sounds like you learned the hard way!

I'm probably going to also.

I'm looking at buying rockers, d/s floor pan, and lower d/s fire wall from real steel. Thanks for posting.

@pngunme isn't it too early for you to be up!

It's never too early!

Me'n'daBoise move noiselessly, like shape-shifters, through the stillness of the night.

We're up to 1-mile walks now, 2 or 3 times each day... Slower than we like, but much better than sitting in a chair or laying in a bed.

That's how we roll..
