bahahha. and i though we were done. thanks for the laugh though.

at least i failed because i wanted to. you failed over a month ago. whats your excuse?

Glenn i was warned about your arrogance:rolleyes:

Moderator where are you ....

Glenn, how much chainsaw fuel would be reasonable to bring?

1/2 gallon plus full tank should be plenty - saws take varying mixes 1:50, 1;40 so if sharing fuel mixes take note. Saws get used frequently, but not for long.

Best I can offer as a mod is to move this thread to the Private Forum, from a ih8mud standpoint, this is a Chat room on a public forum.
You want me to delete every post Tmax has posted, I can do that, I have always wanted to be the Gestapo. You guys let me know, as far as Tmax goes, he can post what he wants, this isn't Tech and it's not North Korea. I will await your decision

Have a great trip!

Glenn sorry to hear you may miss it. Hope the move goes well.

Look guys, let's not let another thread side track. Keep it civil and to the point. I would actually recommend to delete all non trip related posts in this thread as they are not beneficial to anyone planning or thinking of attending this trip. You want to go and start slamming each other start a new thread and waste space there. Phil, unless the people who are going on this trip disagree, I would recommend deleting all non trip important/essential posts for the sake of the trip and not becasue of differences of opinions. Just my $.05

-thank you george.

excellent way of putting it. let everything be and allow everyone to make up their own mind rather than trying to manipulate things.

like i said before, its like an interview.

Uncertain I can go

I want to let the Mackenzie trip participants know of my uncertain situation regarding my ability to go on this trip.
I just sold my house and need to find a new place in the Okanagan and pack up my house and shop. Also my truck needs some major work before I go on another remote trip. If everything goes to plan -- I should be able to go -- but I can’t guarantee it at this point in time. I will let everyone know of my situation as soon as I know.

In the meantime other participant(s) should prepare to pick up the slack for the group.

Glenn

I have cancel mine too. Wife's sister has moved to Edmonton this Summer and wants to see her nephew and nieces before school starts this September. It will be road trip, camping on the way to Alberta. We both have no relatives here in BC. This is by far the closest one.

Ruwi/Tarsier

Tarsier, sorry to hear that. Enjoy your family time though:)
Glenn, I hope that the move to the mainland, and more specifically the hot, dry Interior is going smoothly.
Phil, there's still time......:steer::D
And, on a side note, looky what fell in my lap the other day...:grinpimp:

Looks like they made a new edition. Ill be curious to see how they laid it out. No doubt you will bring it o the trip?

This is from my Grandmother's library. She was a massive BC history buff. This was printed in 1980 and has some great info in it. My brother and I will be sorting through her collection over the next while and no doubt find all sorts of treasures. I also brought home a wooden umbrella stand full of maps from the '20s and up of BC, Yukon and NWT. :D
cheers,
Bill

What a score!! Similar situation for myself when my wifes mother passed away. She had been a pioneer woman of Quesnel. (and kept everything) The best treasure was a book written along time ago actually interviewing the original prospectors that came over the mtns into the Cariboo goldfields. Many maps and especially the pre emptor series maps of Williams Lake and north thru PG. I can sit for hours a day looking at those treasures.
Lucky you!!
