I'll give you 20, and a reach around voucher from @Toshi38

I'll do some browsing tomorrow after a proper sleep. I should probably order a 6 pack of them too.

Had to join the big nozzle club. :hillbilly:

I tried using my manometer for a before reading, but I think the hose was too long for anything accurate.

Didn't realize at the time it records maximum numbers...so I'll try the same hookup, then put a shorter line on it and leave it in the engine bay.

And after a quick a****** driving session, boosts noticeably quicker.

Had to flog it a bit to get 8psi before, now it's hitting 9 with less effort.

Gauge read lower too, but its auto shutoff feature deleted it before I could get a pic. Whatever. It was a lower number:lol:

That seems to be as much as this turbo wants to put out, but I can't complain. I probably wouldn't have set it much higher anyway.

I do still have a muffler, losing it might make a bit of a difference, but that's for another day.

Water pump on the 13BT crapped out. So $$$$ to Megazip and parts on the way. I got to look at my air filter. It was
past its best before date..........
So called Lordco. They have a FRAM 376 and the more expensive option by a company I've never heard of -
Baldwin PA2042. FRAM is around $30 he said. I went to a cross reference site and found about 200+ variations.
So I won't be ordering from Toyota, I'll grab the Baldwin next week and see how it is and post a pic. I go through them
fast on the 60 so I might grab a 6 pack

Baldwin is all over in commercial/industrial/mining applications. If its good enough for 25 Million dollar pieces of equipment, possibly good enough for a $600 miled-out 3b. ;)
I also noticed coolant from my 42 on the shop floor, might be water pump time for me too. Just need to make the effort to look more closely...

Well it was nice to find out the temp gauge which just sits on the C end does in fact work.
It’s been pretty active for the last three days, got almost 2/3’s to H. I guess these motors are
the same up front? There is water pooled under the water pump, I never found any split lines or
anything else.

Makes me wonder what brand the bumper to bumper guy looked up.

I have a fram in the 40, and I think the 60 is Baldwin but I don't remember. Pretty sure I got it from rock auto last time I was ordering something small.

Oil filter on the 3b is a Baldwin ph8a equivalent.

So this Rock Auto site is in Canadian dollars? Ships from in Canada?

Finally got the old water pump out this morning. Had to remove the PS pump bracketry. Might have been easier without
the conversion stuff getting in the way. I was going to get some baking soda/vinegar to soak the alloy housings, unless
someone knows of a better way to soak the grime and corrosion from the cast alloy stuff.

No rockauto is in the states, but it's usually so cheap that it pays for the shipping. Bought a small dimmer switch for father in law's car, 28 bucks from rock auto. 200 here.
I also tend to fill out orders with wiper blades... they're something stupid like 3 dollars each from there.
. I've also used a place in Canada called parts avatar that wasn't bad.

I use a descaler, I'm guessing muriatic acid is the active ingredient. Smells like it. I find vinegar just turns rust black

So here is my new collection of Baldwin parts. Figured I’d try them out. The oil filter is for the 13BT as is the fuel filter. The air filter has rubber ends but seems like any other.
I have a question. I’m trying to find a new rubber gasket washer that goes around the edge of the thermostat. The one pictured is the original and I intend to re use it as I am unable to find a replacement.
An anyone help me with that? The gasket type is common but the putz at NAPA said he had a whole rack of them, then said without the ‘correct application’ he wouldn’t help me. He would not even just let me go and ‘comparison’ shop. It’s basically 2 3/4” around with the inner slit.

Cruiser Outfitters say this gasket is not necessary. What I find odd is why is this one on my engine then, and I'm wondering is this isn't
original equipment. I remember early days with the 12HT they came with the thermostat and I can't actually remember on mine.
