so this answers my question, as to why nobody runs a wider offset wheel. I usually run wider offset wheels to increase stability once a vehicle is lifted. So if there is a rubbing issue why not just add a body lift? I have had a body lift on every Toyota I have ever owned since the 1990's, I like having them especially if you do your own wrenching. Creates clearance between the body and frame so accessing components is easier.........Body lifts do increase COG but not as much as suspension lifts do...

You can go out to about +20 offset...or slightly more...with a about 10.5" tire...maybe 11.1ish.

Body lift doesn't help with rubbing on UCAs.

But then MSCruiser crams 37's with his body lift. Not sure what his result is re rubbing.

I like the Eagle Alloys seen here RWD/SUV Truck - Eagle Alloy Wheels MADE IN THE USA

No wheel spacers. We are looking how it works on the 200 in terms of fitment with larger tires. Icon developed the wheels for the Tundra so that does not mean that it would be correct for the 200. I would have to weigh them to see.

The only issue is that they are not hub centric and I don't really know why you would develop wheels specific for Toyota's that is not hub centric. The reasoning Icon gives is that people want a push through cap and not a bolt on cap. I am not so sure on that. For now we run them as is with new lug nuts, but will look into hub centric rings.

Christo, what lugs did you end up using, and do you know if you can reuse the existing TPMS from the stock LC wheels or if it requires new sensors? Also, are you reselling these, or if not do you have a recommendation on where to source them?

I'm currently looking into hub-centric rings, as the center bore is apparently 116.5mm. So far I've only found plastic rings... hoping to find someone who will machine aluminum rings.

Getting close to pulling the trigger on either the Icons or a set of RWs with 1" spacers and 285/75 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

@sleeoffroad, I purchased a set of these and am having them mounted today. I had someone custom machine a set of aluminum 116.5mm-to-110mm hubcentering rings. However, with the push-through center cap it turns out I can't use them.

Have you found these Icon wheels vibrate on the highway without the rings, or are they OK? The dealer mounted them without the rings, but I haven't picked up the truck yet and if you tell me they shake like a booty on the dance floor I'll have them switch it before I pick up the truck

Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/75R17 on Icon Six Speed 17" wheels with +25 offset. No lift, but I did install the Toyota front spring spacers. I did a bunch of trimming up front around the bumper and inside liner and removed the front mud flaps. Even still, the fronts rub quite a bit when turning unless I really baby it. Currently debating whether I can trim enough to stop the rubbing under normal driving (probably), or whether I should wisen up and step down to 285/70R17 since I expect it to be worse off-road.

I know my position on this is an unpopular one in this community, but it just seems to me that you are buying yourself a whole lot of bother with the LT285/75-17 tires for an additional one half inch of ground clearance over the LT285/70-17 tires which we know fit and function with absolutely no problems. I think you'd be much better off using the Toyota recommended LT285/70-17 tires. There will be plenty of time in the future - after your proposed mods - to install a larger tire ... if you feel the trade-offs are worth it at that time.

@linuxgod did you lose additional offset with the 116.5 to 110mm rings?

I have the same tires waiting to go on some wheels I ordered that are +40mm. Hopefully with the additional offset and the mild lift I have I'll be able to avoid any serious rubbing... I had thought about getting a set of 20mm spacers (I believe that would still keep the tires inside the fender when stuffed) but I think I'm gonna hold off to see how much clearance I have...

Looks very nice though, hopefully you can sort it out with some trimming.

40mm offset with that tire should workout perfect, IMO! If ya roll 20mm spacers that would put you right where my setup is and would also work out nice with some minor fender trimming!

No. Ended up not using the rings because the center caps are push through, so it's rings or caps but not both

But the wheels had a recessed groove for the center cap so if I wanted to run them they would end up mounting flush and wouldn't affect the offset at all

Don't think I posted in this thread so 285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers, EVOCorse wheels with 40os:

@NCMTNS that looks great!

Got those rims on my wish list. As to the tyres...I'll just keep this thread 'subscribed' and see what is the consensus...if there could ever be such a thing. :)

@tabraha that blue with the grey wheels looks awesome! might be my new favorite combo on the 200. Wish a similar blue was offered in the 09-12 model years I was looking at.
