I'm sorry to say I can't join the run anymore. I have a property mgmt issue:-(
Eric sorry to bail on ya. Be safe and warm.

What a great run! Mike, Eric, Derrick, great meeting up with you guys. It was a good time with some good obstacles (especially that last extra credit run on the way back out ) and truly phenomenal views. Thanks for taking the lead and showing us the trails Eric. You've got yourself a really nice clean 80 as well.

I took a lot of photos (they are GPS embedded) and they are all at this link:

Mike pointed out this huge boulder balancing on top of another boulder.

We also saw a cool cave with a skylight

After coming back down from the lookout we continued on and came within inches of the Mexican border marked by this old wire fence.

I was going the other direction and that rock was on my passenger tire and when I hit it my thumb was inside the wheel like an idiot and I sprained my thumb. Thing hurt for like two weeks. :bang:

Awesome!

Wow, what an awesome run yesterday! The light dusting of snow/sleet added to the already breath taking beauty of the area. First, I want thank Eric for organizing the run, nice job leading us,.

There was alot about this run that was really enjoyable, running a new trail and wheeling with new faces to name a couple. But, the best, was seeing the excitement on Mike's face  as he tested the capabilities of his new rig....priceless. The extra credit sections were added fun as well.

Brett, thanks for posting the pictures, they really capture the day well. Eric and Mike, I hope you post some of yours up, mine are all copies of what Brett has posted.

Eric, Brett, and Mike, it was great wheeling/meeting you and I look forward to the next one.

Derrick

What a great day! Thanks to all who were able to make it, I am glad everyone enjoyed themselves. It was windy and cold in the morning, but the sun was out and warmed up a bit in the afternoon. There was no carnage that I know of and everyone made it home without incident, always a good thing. I will post some pictures once I can upload them.

Did you hear all that noise coming from my suspension in that second video? I didn't rub at all, just suspension noise. I have to get that sorted out.

Thanks for the videos! I had a great time.
