Nice pics!
Has anyone done this trail lately? I did it for the first time today and there were a bunch of large boulders blocking the trail. Since it was my first time there, I wasnt sure if I was on the right trail.
Well I was trying to guide myself using the Funtreks So Ca. Trail guide and after looking at it again it seems like I took one one of the side roads that leads into the valley of the moon which aparently is closed off to motor vehicles, hence the boulders blocking the road.
I did climb partially up the mountain which I think was Elliot Mines. It got pretty narrow with tight switchbacks and I wasn't sure if my whale would have made it, so I turned back from there.
There are a few of your pictures that I don't recognize, like the border fence. I don't think we got anywhere near that. Or views of the rail road and that mine shaft with the wood around it. How do you get there?
