Cool.

I couldn't help but notice a lot of "up to" in the descriptions there. I hope you never have to, but wonder what real world, near capacity consistent use of 7.2Kw yields on the gasoline consumption side of things. I also wonder what the infotainment thing would show if your heater coils kick on or when your A/C compressor starts up regarding capacity. Were you able to see anything when your fridge compressor started during your dry run?

Does truck have some sort of anti-theft mode during "generator mode" while you're sleeping inside your house?

According to Ford, my truck can run at MAX 7.2 kW for CONTINUOUS 32 hours on 1 full gas tank.

Obviously, i am never going to run at max.

My AC in master bedroom has 13 amp minimum. No soft starter needed. It turned on and ran beautifully without hiccup when my house connected to truck. THAT pic above of my infotainment was with AC unit on.

The fridge did fine as well. BOTH fridge and AC were running in pic above. No hiccups. That was my small fridge in utility room. My MAIN fridge did not turn on during my test....but i am sure that it won't be an issue since I was at about 2300 watts...and my headroom was 7200.

Yes, i can lock my truck with generator/engine on. Remmeber, the engine does NOT run all the time. It only turns on as needed if the battery goes low. So, yes, i can lock my truck and go to sleep.

Nice truck. Will you stop there? GFC? FWC? OEV? Mits?

It's possible, still trying to figure out the direction of this build. I really want to use the factory winch and keep the OEM bumper but there are a lot of shortcomings with that setup so I am still exploring an aftermarket winch bumper as well.

Here is a '20-22 Tremor in the same color and lift/tires as mine with a GFC. I like the looks/lines, but FWC has the worst build quality of the bunch.

OP- You need both! Best wishes with the Tremorr. I bought a 22 SD Tremor 7.3 last year. Loved it but decided to not tow my boat so I traded it in this year for an F150 Tremor 5.0. Much more practical for my use case, which includes daily driver duties. I really like the F150, but no way was I parting ways with my LC200. Might be an unpopular opinion here, but I much prefer the Ford trucks over the current Tundra (and I had a 2nd gen Tundra for 8+ years and loved it).

Oh I agree. We test drove a new Tundra (knowing it wasn't enough for the tasks at hand) just to do our due diligence and I wasn't impressed.

TBH I tossed around the idea of going from my f150 EcOBooSt and getting 5.7 tundra in approx 2018/2019. The tundra was a dog off the line and floated like a cadillac. In fairness, at this point I had swapped suspension in my truck and was running a 93 octane tune. But I told the (admittedly great) salesman I wouldn't be happy regardless of whatever number they offered up. I thanked them for their time and left. I haven't experienced the new tundra, but hope it is quicker off the line and more planted comparatively.

TBH...my Ford floats despite having FX4 package. I think floating is a "truck thing" esp if your bed is empty.

Swap the old man OEM shocks with Bilstein 5100s and get yourself some Helwig sway bars (rear AND front). You'll lose articulation for sure, but that thing becomes (capital P) Planted.

yeah but that's OK. Don't want anything to change my payload. Articulation is not a concern either way bc i don't plan on taking my F150 off-road other than maybe mild terrain or washboards (to get to a destination). The ride is pretty good for a truck...so, i don't mind the mild floating much. I am usually in favor of softer ride in trucks/SUVs (thus stock suspension on my LC).

Looks like a GFC. And I have always read they are superb build quality?

I meant GFC. In my opinion they don't touch an AT.

Tested my truck today. Started the F150's generator at 10:40 am to power my house.

My truck read 511 miles to empty at beginning of test:

After 1 hour of my truck powering the house, I lost 2 miles in driving range:

During this hour, I had my single AC (2 ton) unit set at 76 degrees inside master bedroom (ran a few times during the hour). Lights were ON, Wifi routers ON, 2 mobile fans at max speeds in the family room, 2 fridges on and off (big fridge and smaller one), and my laptop was charging.

My F150 was ON, but AC and display of infotainment were OFF and car was locked.

Given that a full gas tank nets me around 605 or so miles, my truck can easily support my house for over a week on ONE gas tank.

Figured I'd bump this for $hits and giggles. The truck is coming up on 40K miles and two years of ownership. It has had one issue, the rearmost in series DPF sensor failed around 6K miles. It was promptly replaced under warranty, and I am happy to report that there haven't been any other issues or no other failures or warranty items since.

So far, I've added a full Carli Back Country level with Fox 2.0 shocks that I recently replaced with King 2.5's custom tuned from AccuTune. Tires are 37x12.50x18 on Methods. I installed the OEM Warn winch, some Baja Designs A-Pillar lights, and the XL80 Pro/Squadron fog light kit, so it has plenty of forward light. I have an ARB Twin Compressor in the cab with air chucks at both rear doors, a BakFlip MX4 tri-fold bed cover, a few Banks goodies, and a bunch of interior mods as well.

So far, it has been to Florida, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Arizona on adventures and hunts of some form or fashion. I average 17- 18 mpg in town and 19- 23 mpg on the highway, depending on terrain/speed/headwind. I've towed up to 15K with it, and it barely broke a sweat, but 500 HP and 1200 lb/ft torque certainly helps.

I plan to step up to 38's when it's time for new rubber, most likely with the new Toyo RT Pros. I am still kicking around the idea of a flatbed with a canopy, but I haven't been able to convince myself to spend the money just yet. I am still shopping for a 60/62 project. I've missed a few, and I mistakenly let one slip through my fingers earlier this year, but I am still on the hunt. We placed an order for the GX550 Overtrail and should have that for the misses in the fall. The current GX460 is sticking around for the long haul and will serve duty as a commuter for me once the missus gets her new one.

I hope everyone here is well and y'all are still enjoying your 200's. I still spot and admire them when I am out and about.

Looks awesome, glad you're getting good use out of it. That MPG 🤯 gotta love diesels, even if they've become a lot more complicated to own.

Nice! Looks good and please keep us updated.

Overall, do you see any negatives, even in small categories, that make you wish it could match the LC (if only in that specific issue)?

I’m not fishing for reasons to think LC’s are superior, I’m just always thinking about what to get next should anything befall my LC.

This will be my next daily. Does a backcountry with king 2.5s become a pintop?

For the most part. The main difference is that the Pintop Kings don't have the adjusters, and I don't think I'd spend King money and not have the ability to adjust them. I use it for my daily but I'd really like to be able to retire it to weekend/towing/adventure use only, and that'll be happening soon.

The only aspect about the Cruiser that I think was notably better was the gaskets on the doors and the solid vault-like "thunk" you get when you close them. The interior quality I'd rate the same, with the same double-pane acoustic glass making for a pretty quiet cabin like the 200. Ford uses CarPlay, it has a fantastic sound system (18-speaker B&O with sub) and the seats are extremely comfortable, something I can't say about any Toyota/Lexus seat. It has a lot more tech, but it's also a much newer generation vehicle, so that's not a fair comparison. The '23+ 10-speed shifts seamlessly, so that's an improvement over the 8-speed in the 200.

I'd put the off-road mode systems pretty close to one another, with the Toyota taking the nod in that department, but the Tremor has an electronic rear locker and limited slip in the front, so it has a leg up there as well. While it's hard to compare apples to apples in this instance, one must keep in mind their categorical and size differences. If you want to play off-road with the family and fit down "most" trails, then there's no comparison as the 200 gets the nod, but the same could be said if you need to haul and tow while still being capable in crappy situations.

I wish that I could have kept both, but in all honesty, I think the Cruiser would've gotten replaced at some point as it is. I find myself wanting something more mid-size for true off-road use, and I'll be keeping my eye on the Ineos models in the coming years. Now I just have to fight the urge to build the 460 lol.

Good comparisons.
Thanks for the info.

Badass truck. Glad to hear it's working out. Kind of jealous of that American AC. Probably my biggest complaint about the 200 is the weak AC in the Texas summer.

Obviously you have to update us again if you find a 60.

Yea, comfortable seats and quality AC the Ford has in spades over the 200.

Oh, I still plan to get a 60, always looking, even have a few parts in storage lol.
