Kind of jealous of that American AC. Probably my biggest complaint about the 200 is the weak AC in the Texas summer.
Not to go off-topic, but I’m surprised at the AC comment. Down here in Houston, I find the AC to be pretty great in my LC.
And this is often with me running with one window open so my dog can stick his head out.
Perhaps yours needs a checkup?

By comparison, my wife’s Tesla does a horrible job keeping up with the heat when the window is open. This always makes me thankful for my LC’s AC.

(Not trying to be a fan-boy of the LC (which I am), I acknowledge many flaws in our trucks but haven’t noticed the AC being one.)

We had a Lexus hybrid in the past, and it was by far the worst "modern" AC I've ever had in a vehicle. I found the AC in my 200 to be a 6/10 in the hot months. It kept up until temps got north of 90, which we all know is four months of the year down here, if not more. I've always found Toyota/Lexus AC to be meh. The cooling/ventilated seats are a joke as well, embarrassingly bad compared to many others.

Ha. Agreed. The AC seats are mostly useless.

Badass truck. Glad to hear it's working out. Kind of jealous of that American AC. Probably my biggest complaint about the 200 is the weak AC in the Texas summer.

Obviously you have to update us again if you find a 60.
Wait what?! We are talking about air conditioner, right? Maybe Tex68w Ford HD is different from my F150 but my Ford AC sucks! The rear vents are passive, no compressor…borderline worthless. The outside front vents are weak as heck! Basically the truck has only TWO good AC vents for the whole cabin! Pretty crappy IMO. I thought that this was universally crap on by Ford owners!

By far, the LC air conditioner is far far superior in every aspect! LC AC can cool down everyone much faster. I thought LC AC was one of the best. Not sure what you guys are complaining about! My wife’s GX460 is also good but has less vents than LC.

While Ford ventilated seats are significantly better than LC, the ventilation system itself is noisy to the point that I don’t use them.

Ford truck front seats itself are just sublime, far better than LC. I agree with Tex68w on that! And by measurement, Ford is slightly quieter on the highway.

And I agree that the tech is far better in Ford. Cameras are like 4k vs VHS quality in LC.

Blue Cruise (and lane keep) makes for relaxing drive…so much so that I want more of that! Looking heavily into Tesla FSD in near future.

Off-road, for me, LC is far better in every aspect. No comparison IMO.

And recently big storm rolled thru my city…power outage involving 2300 people…I was not one of them. 😊

I just came by for the 30A drop cord pics from @Madtiger

I put 99% heat rejection 3M ceramic tint on all the glass on my 200. 30% on front windows, 80% on windshield and sunroof, 15% over all the back glass which brings it down to almost limo tint. I have zero problems with texas heat and AC in that vehicle. The ventilated seats are a joke though. I'll do that same tint setup on every daily vehicle from now on, although maybe not quite as dark on the back glass.

The solar and IR blocking tint is unbelievable! I paid through the nose for the good stuff on my cars and it is money well spent IMO. I have zero ragrets (sic) about doing it and will gladly do it again!

Na' sayin?

After having two late model 200's (2019 LX570 and 2020 LC) and five late model Super Duty's I can confidently say the AC is better in the Super Duty, no comparison. And yes, if you live down here, quality tint is a must.
