Late to the party as I have a 60, but glad I stumbled in here today. Just read through the entire thread and I am in awe. Looking forward to the updates on your trip!

So we spent the last two days drifting down Nova Scotia's Southwest's coast, down to Yarmouth. Wine, beaches, foggy mornings, late sunsets, fishing towns... neat part of the world. Come here when you get a chance. Lots of history too... the Scots, the French (Acadians), the English, have all left their mark here... there was also bit of warfare during the American Revolution and the war of 1812 too... but I'll leave that part for those of you interested in history to search on your own. Interesting... interesting... place.

We take the 6-hour ferry tomorrow morning into Portland, Maine. I leave you with the last pictures from this part of Canada. Hope you enjoy!

A foggy, yet warm day at Port Maitland Beach ~15 miles north of Yarmouth... sat down for a few hours, talked a bit, read a bit, smoked a bit... let the fog roll in from the ocean... not many around!

Moved out to Cape Forchu in the afternoon...

With the fishing boats leaving the harbor later in the day... Can you spot the two of them below?

I should name this picture... Ghosts in the mist? ;-)

And one last picture of the Engineered Brick that took us to all of these places...

Bug splatter... screams road trip doesn't it!!!

I'd somehow missed the actual updates of the Canada trek... amazing. Love the colorful old fishing village buildings.

I think you should do the Trans Labrador man. Get a Spot unit and then plan it and make it happen. =)

Took it in last week for a thorough checkup. No issues to report. This 40 continues to chug along. The underside is solid... I think it'll live forever!

I did change the tires a few months ago... from BFG Mud-Terrain to All-Terrain... much more quieter drive. Should have done it earlier.

I may do another cross-country next spring. Boston to San Diego perhaps? Cruising at 55-60 mph is a breeze now... We'll see!!!

@hecrod
I tried to IM you, but your mailbox is full.

What seats did you wind up using?

If you changed the seats now, what would you change to?
Hi Old School,

Thanks for the heads up on the IM's... just cleared it up.

I ended up buying a pair of BMW sport seats. From a 330xi or something like that, in awesome condition... they still look brand new! The sport seats have no wiring whatsoever, they are not powered, not heated... but they do recline almost flat, and can be manually adjusted in multiple ways. Perfect for the 40! This was the greatest decision ever... from a seat perspective. The change in ride? Night and day... the single most impactful upgrade I have ever made.

HI, I've got the same seats in my garage. Would you mind sharing what you did to make them fit properly?
