My emissions numbers actually improved after the mod (this was not planned), other than that it runs the same as it did in the stock location. The reason for moving them was the factory placement is in direct line of fire from anything you drive through i.e. mud, water, snow etc. this shortens the life of the O2. and although I did no high math or heavy figuring it seemed to me that having the O2s the same distance from the source would be more efficient .

Brian

I hate to continue this hijack, but by relocating the O2's like you did you could eliminate the cats without throwing a code right? Also what did you use to relocate them?

My truck is a 94 OBD 1 the O2s are in front of the cats from the factory, so mod or no mod the computer has no clue if cats are present or not. On a OBD 1 engine the exhaust manifolds have these holes already in place all I did was remove some unnecessary crap the pair valve etc. This is not a mod for OBD 2 truck.

I have a 94 as well.
So I know this will work.
Just wanted to know when I redo the exhaust.
Can you just remove the pair valve tubes and put the o2 sensors in?

I can't help but think that welding a cage (that is hard mounted to the frame) to the body (which is mounted through rubber) will eventually flex and crack... I love this design and I'm planning on copying a lot of it but I just can't shake this feeling! Anything you can do to help that?

I'm x2 on this, pretty interested to hear how the end to end works with the body mounts.

The whole damn thing may be rigid enough, but I'm very curious about the body mounting.

Killer work, BTW

Just got back from GSMTR and the cage worked perfectly, the plan to use aircraft fuel tank sealer around the bars going through the roof didn't happen, all of my stash had dried up, so I just used auto body seam sealer (the flexible kind) and after abusing the hell out of my truck for 5 days everything is still as it should be it didn't even crack the seals. Check out the descent down 19 on ACC's Facebook page.

Let me know if you ever want to sell that hood :D

I tried swapping with him, but he wouldn't take an OD green hood...

I love this truck!

Hey anyone wondering he wheeled the snot out of it with his son !!!!
Hey sign me up for a fan mod kit Brian!!

Skid plate for the roof?

Awesome - thanks for the feedback on the cage to body (lack of) movement.

Killer.

nice cage... beefy

Sorry to hijack but would like more info on the O2 sensor relocate for 93-94.

Also, the cage is killer. Can't see myself doing it but think it is bad ass.
