This post caught my attention. Can dipstick reading be wrong because dipstick is either stopping too far of too near (for whatever reason)? Is this even possible?

This was only possible, because the trans pan was removed.
The stick length is based on it stopping at the top when you push it in to its holder at the top of the engine.
Well, I was thinking there is a possibility of stick tube displacement (vertically) when being installed back.
