Okay fellow enthusiasts, going to clean some carbs before their kits arrive. Do I go with CLR, lemon juice, vinegar, simple green....? What say you?! Thanks.

I used one of those 1 gallon carb dip solution then into the parts washer. I have the parts washer solution from tractor supply. Works great.

Stuff pretty much fell off after the parts cleaner. Very little scrubbing

So do I just submerge the whole carb or disassemble? I think the glass window will be fine, will the Aisan marking be okay?

You will need to disassemble it completely as there are small passageway’s that need to get this product into them and cleaned out.

I wouldn't risk the window in that product.

Thanks guys. I haven’t submerged it yet. When I do, I’ll use something more mild on the glass and aisan plate.

Dont put window in. If it has color om glass it will take the color off. Take it completly apart and submerge it.

I used the period correct carb. I have the carb broken down. Will submerge in carb cleaner and I’ll use a milder detergent on the window and plate.
