Thanks much Pete. Those wheels belong to my wife, I borrowed them from her 80, seen in post #11, so the truck would have the proper sized wheels and tires while fitting the body. They are FJ Cruiser steelies with rock rings I used to sell welded on.

The body is fit, all body mounts are welded in place, joints in frame are ground clean and temp painted. Frame, axle shells and suspension components will be media blasted and painted.

All suspension components have been media blasted. Starting the priming and painting process. Finally out of Winter, paint can cure outside in the sun!

Gee I wish there was a place here in Australia that done these 80 chassis conversions looks like a pretty clean build you are doing looking forward to seeing more of it

Got the wheels primed and painted today. They look more to the gray side in person than they came out in the photos.

What is your paint type ? Are you doing epoxy?

Fire wall and underside about 90 percent stripped to bare metal. Getting primed, Lizard Skin ant painted black.

Wow. That’s an impressive amount of stripping 🙀

There are a couple small rust spots, on the radiator support and in a rear wheel well, nothing extensive.
