Hi all,

Just picked up a 93 FZJ80 from another guy on base. I was in the middle of this radiator swap (the truck has some issues) when it occurred to me my A/C parts don't look like the one's I see in here. I have a full width heat exchanger (or condenser) and a fan that I'm sure the previous owner or some shop rigged up. Can you guys tell me what I have here? Do I need to swap all this stuff out? BTW, there's a sticker for R134A and the dryer is in front of the battery, behind the passenger (left side) headlight.

I believe that the full width condenser and the dryer in front of the battery are standard on the '93. That's what mine has. That fan though...

I think what's different is there's no transmission oil cooler shown on yours.

Cruzerman, thanks. after further searching I've found a few examples with this condenser. Without the fan though. It's weird too, because there's a pretty legit looking wire harness for it. Still, may just rip it out like all the other electrical orphans I've found on it

Mighty690, You're right. I do however have transmission line hookups to the radiator. so I guess that's how Toyota decided to cool the trans. The old radiator and new one both have the hookups.

I think it should come off. However, I also figure it must have been put there by the previous owner for a reason.

Took it off. it wasn't Toyota, and as I looked harder at it, it was mounted really poorly (zipties, a screw, etc.) it also didn't appear in any of the diagrams I found on SOR.

My 93 has twin fans(from the factory) They work very well and would not dream of removing them. Do you also have a rear ac unit?...Stop pulling stuff off before you understand wha
t you have.

Yea I have rear A/C. Biggest reason I pulled the fan off the condenser is because it wouldn't turn. If you've got a part number or know of an online store that ships to Japan, I'd be interested in the dual fan unit.

I had a HDJ81 in Canada that had the same setup. I would imagine a used Auto parts place there should have them.
