On the subject of photos, feel free to post any you took.

There are a lot of people to thank for making this event a success…….
* As usual we had a great group of enthusiast, attend the event.
* Having the folks from Odd Iron and Appalachia Cruisers both guide and cook meals was greatly appreciated.
* A special shout-out to the individuals and companies that provided funds and merchandise to pull off a respectable raffle (a first for us).
I hope to see everyone again next September. 😊

Of course, they were driving 70s.

This ledge was a nice photo op on an otherwise bunny trail.
I'm impressed. Guess, I'd need some advice & training on how to tackle things like this. Zero experience with rocks, as there is no rock crawling in Germany. Not at all.
Cheers Ralf

Just wanted to say Thank You for a well run event.

Those that organized it and the trail leaders for a job well done.

Great group, really enjoyed seeing some from the last time I was able to make it (2021) and meeting new people (and pets).

Brian and I had a great time. I'm home and he is still on the road.

Please post pictures or links to pictures!

Thanks

I encourage everyone to post photos. I was tail-end Charlie most of the time and got very few photos. The ones I did take are highly filtered by dust. 😁

Hello,

In a nutshell: L4, second/third gear.

Walk the path before you try it. If you can walk through the trail without too much of an effort, chances are your 70 Series will make it. If you have trouble walking the trail, it is better not to try.

Keep the momentum, do not get too excited. Watch closely: it is better if you have a spotter.

A good set of tires helps.

I highly recommend following a Mega-Cruiser on the trails. They clear out most of the brush as they go. However, just because they can easily just drive over rocks doesn’t mean you can. 😁

... Windrock is amazing. We did 129 miles of trails and did not see 10% ...

Very true.
A consideration that might feed your trekking/exploring nature is Windrock and Royal Blue WMA are adjacent on Windrock's northeast boundary.

Royal Blue is large too and runs to the Kentucky state line. Consequently, these two areas could enable you to stay virtually off pavement wheeling/camping/exploring for hundreds of miles.

You have extensively explored and mapped Mississippi. This might be a new opportunity for you to explore/map and publish.

***** We routinely use photos from the event ( and the raffle this year ) for future advertising however if you prefer we not use your photo ( or you’re in the witness protection program ) please let me know.
Thanks
