With this meet-n-greet successfully concluded, it appears to be time to start fostering Land Cruiser interests in the next generations so they continue supporting future events.

We have both invited and encouraged folks to bring their spouses and kids (and well behaved pets) to our events for a number of years and that will continue to be our policy. 😁

At least I came home to good weather. 😩

Should help wash all of that windrock mud and dust off
They’re talking Cat 4 now so I think I’ll keep my dusty Cruiser in the garage. 😊
It’s generally not a good sign when the locals bring their boats home from the Gulf region.

Although our event is nowhere near the largest of the annual TLCA events, we’re definitely the only one serving 70 Series cake (which we all know is the best of all Series cakes 😁).

We normally shoot for the 3rd weekend in September for our event, but that weekend is a home game for UT, so for a number of reasons we need to regroup.
Our 2025 dates are now September 11-14. 😁

As in previous years, an article documenting our adventure will be submitted to the TLCA’s “Toyota Trails” magazine. My guess is, we’ll make the January / February edition. 😊

There are a lot of people to thank for making this event a success…….
* As usual we had a great group of enthusiast, attend the event.
* Having the folks from Odd Iron and Appalachia Cruisers both guide and cook meals was greatly appreciated.
* A special shout-out to the individuals and companies that provided funds and merchandise to pull off a respectable raffle (a first for us).
I hope to see everyone again next September. 😊

Extending proper thanks to those involved in making this event welcoming to all and a total success is beyond me.
Thank you. If I go beyond this I am just bumbling and stumbling with my words.

We have no idea what we’re doing but we make up for it with enthusiasm. 😁

One of our raffle prizes (Skotti-Grill) being used until power is restored in Southern Georgia. 😊

Do you remember how dry and dusty Windrock was during our event? 😁

As I mentioned earlier, our intentions are to submit an article to “Toyota Trails” documenting our event.
Last year, in addition to the article, we submitted a file of 20-30 photos. (We have no say as to which photos are chosen to accompany the article). Kim Smith (Red Hills Land Cruiser Club’s official photographer) rode with the same group both days so it would suffice to say that’s where the bulk of her photos originated.
If you rode with one of the other groups and took photos, please share them with me and we’ll include some of them with the file that is sent in. (Again, it’s up to the editor to choose which ones they use).
Thanks

I left out an important caveat ……. Toyota Trails can’t accept photos that have been previously posted on other social media platforms.

The accounting process is completed, and within a few days we’ll be mailing a check to the ALS Association in the amount of $4,500.00 (which is more than twice the amount we raised in 2023).
None of this would have been possible without you guys. We’ll continue to strive to improve the event going forward and welcome your support. 👍

Congratulations to the event team and participants in making this possible
