Long rainy weekend thanks to Hurricane Barry. We were very lucky in regards to forecasted and actual rain in my area. Another positive with the weather the wife allowed me to take over the kitchen table to install my Lseats covers in the comforts of air conditioning.

What color is that on the lseat replacements? I made the mistake of ordering the white eru or something :/ and haven't installed till I get some dye.

After a long few days I finished my AHC delete. That was a close 2nd on the misery scale to a 2uz engine swap. Just gotta tie up some loose ends and pack. Cant wait.

Always down to the wire...
I replaced an A/C line yesterday. Got an appointment at the shop to put a vacuum on it and refill tomorrow morning. I feel like a champ for finding a leak using UV dye and repairing the line, but at this stage, acquiring equipment for the vacuum is beyond me. I just want my A/C to work. My family is up for a road trip and some adventure, but the trip will be on a whole different level if we cover 1500 miles without A/C. Fingers crossed this works. Otherwise it's windows down and ski googles on.

Other than trips with my grandparents I don't think I was ever in a car with working air my whole childhood. I still almost never use ac when I'm by myself not matter how hot. With the family is a different story. On a side note. My dad went thru some skin cancer issues and it was all on his left arm and left side of face. Pretty convinced it's from driving.

Started having a bit of an 'oh s***' moment last night realizing how quickly HIH is coming up and how little I've done. Hoping to replace a t-stat this week and then start packing. I had something come up last minute taking me out of town this weekend, so it's going to be a busy few days for me this week and next Sunday / Monday!

I am getting that feeling as well... decided I should attempt to get my rack bushings replaced. Was going to do an alignment this weekend but it wasn’t worth it with how much the rack moves.

I did get my fan shroud replaced and the new(used) muffler installed as well as my rhino rack installed

Still left to do:
Replace battery
Build rock sliders
Re wire trailer lights
PACK :( ***my least favorite***
Figure out a way to haul 4 bikes on top the camper and cruiser.(hopefully they will fit, if nothing else we’ll just bring the kiddos bikes

I too am having the same feeling. Gotten lots done:

Valve cover gasket replace
New plugs, replaced one coil
Super tint the windows to keep things cooler
Rewire and move fridge
Reinstall the RTT

But still to do:
Pack tools for bike maintenance night
Oil change
Replace sway bar bushings
Install CB
Install car play radio (maybe)

According to Silverton Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, Alpine Loop Open and finished opening cinnamon pass yesterday!

So I found some whiskey that is made in Little Rock and I also grabbed a bottle of Vodka that is made in Fort Smith. Fort Smith is the area I live in so that’s why grabbed it. I also have a 12 pack of variety beers from a Northwest Arkansas brewery. Never tried the whiskey, the vodka and beer isn’t too bad! When and where is the bourbon/whiskey tasting taking place again?

Oh yeah....there’s still a couple things I need to get done with the truck as well!

What type of tent stakes are recommended for setting up a tent at the camp site? First time going to Colorado and not sure what to expect for soil conditions.

Any word on CR-2 from Animas Forks into town?
It was still closed between Animas Forks and Eureka this past Saturday.

This is looking down on Lake Como (polar plunge) at the top of Poughkeepsie on 7/13 ❄

Here's my spot from the last two years. It will be wet and muddy. The metal stakes from wallyworld work well.
