It is official, OFFICIAL. We are done adding folks and trying our best to offset all of the last minute drop outs with a couple of new. The last minute changes are expected, but have a HUGE impact on the $ and the planning we have to do. We aren't full time event planners but we do our best to keep us whole and be equitable for waitlist folks (#HIHINSIDERS). THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who is signed up and ready to hit Silverton in a couple weeks! @paflytyer and are ready (kind of)!

Will look to be quicker on the draw for next year - have a great time this year!

[Kept my fingers crossed a drop out would make room, but appreciate the update!]

Here’s a question. I’d like to know how many of you guys are running the torsion bar/lower control arm strengthening brackets?
I’d planned to install them before the trip but they have been back ordered and I will have this weekend. That would only give me Sunday to install them and then get an alignment.
With so much going on I’m wondering if I should just go without them this trip. My driver side LCA is a 1yo oem Toyota arm and my passenger looks great too.
I’m running Alpine Loop, Poughkeepsie with the wall, black bear, and Immogene. What do you guys think?

I've run the past 18 months (lots of CO trips covering the passes you mention minus Poughkeepsie) without them on my rig with no issues. My LCAs are OEM and 21 years old. I'm thinking of putting the brackets on for "piece of mind" though. I still have the package of them that came with my ToughDog lift.

I don’t post up too much, but wanted give a big shout out thank you to @Riverrunner and Summit Auto Transport. Definitely has made the shipping from Florida easy, despite a few hiccups. Can’t wait to see everyone again!
My pleasure!
That’s why we pay @Riverrunner the big bucks!! ;)

Good to hear.

Known weak point & important to have on a heavy- built rig like yours- (don't leave home with out them). One good bump & twist and your LCA is cracked 1500 miles from home.

In stock: Toyota 100 Series Land Cruiser/Lexus LX470 Control Arm Reinforcement Brackets

I ordered a set in early June after seeing the thread about them. They still haven't shown up. I didn't have them last year and won't have them this year. Of course, other than my RTT and rear bumper, my truck isn't heavily loaded, so I'm thinking I'll be fine.

Thanks Andrew, not really what I was hoping to hear with all of the things I’ve still got to get in order for this 4K mile trip. I only have one day off from work before we leave.
But then again I guess I only have to drop the skids I just installed, take the tension off the bars and unbolt the anchors. Not a big deal really. Just sucks doing it on my back in the dirt.
Do you think making match marks on the adjustment bolt head and threads will save me from needing an alignment?

Sorry dude- should you have a failure on the trip you'll regret not installing them. Yeah match mark the components- If you reassemble as they came off, I don't any reason for alignment. Be sure to drill the LCA and bolt the brace to the LCA as instructions show. Some folks have skipped this step- defeating the whole reason for adding them.

You ordered a set from Ironman and haven't gotten them yet? I was just about to buy them, but won't rush out and do so if they aren't in stock and shipping.

No these are ARB from Cruiser Outfitters. They have been on back order.

Same ones I ordered from a local shop here in Phoenix. Was told it's have them in a week. Oh well.

I ordered mine about 2 months ago and they said they would ship them as soon as they were off BO. I got shipment confirmation last night so I assume everyone should be seeing them soon.

Tracking shows I will have them this Thursday.

Then that might put me in the same boat as you. Trying to get them installed before leaving for HIH.

Man, its not that big of a deal. you will do FINE. 8years and 300k miles on my fat as hell rig and that has never been an issue and im generally not easy on my equipment.

I'm of the same mindset. I definitely don't baby my truck and I'm not running them. I'll probably buy a set eventually and install them next time I plan on removing my tbars, but I'm not rushing to install them before HIH.

I just ordered from the Ironman website link above. Maybe we can have a campground install party?
Hah! If I end up not having time to install before I go maybe I’ll just bring some spare LCAs. That wouldn’t be too hard to change in camp if there was an issue. Maybe some cheap NAPA arms JIC!o_O
