I like that last photo, the castoff old parts like is huge! Did you mess with the LSPV when you did brakes? I neglected to move the “sensing arm thingy” when I blead. Mine looks kinda tired. I may replace it. Any drama there?
I bled the LSPV along with the calipers. I didn't remove any sensor either....FSM doesn't call for it unless I missed it. Otherwise no real drama except a metric crap ton of air. I'm on my third bleed and having issues tonight...taking a break for now to eat some diner and reattack afterward. One more thing: is that a Toyota starter you pulled? I hear they are rebuildable and worth saving.
Thanks for the positive words Greg, means a lot. I’ve read a little about engaging the antilock brakes to squeeze the air out. I’ll give that a try tomorrow. Good news is after 4.5 quarts of brake fluid the brakes are tight and functional. I flushed the system as clean as I could using soooo much brake fluid. A lot of sediment came out and there were a few messes, especially when bleeding the MC. I understand what the Mrs. endured but luckily for me I have a power bleeder which was great since I’m a bachelor right now.Keep up the good work Pell! The bleeding process was looong for me too. you’ve probably read about getting the antilock system to work gets a bunch of air out? There are a bunch of threads about bleeding 80 series, lots of “discussion”.
Mrs. PNWTreeOctopus got pretty tired of mashing the brakes for me when I changed the lines and calipers. I’m certain that I didnt bleed the Lspv completely...and I have little confidence that it is properly adjusted. Attending to mine is on my list of continuing projects on the cruiser.

All done for the night and she is finally on her own legs without the support of jack stands. Now I need to get the caster reading a so Dave at delta can send me my radius arms.
Drove Schtalin Babbity around the neighborhood for the initial operational checkout. So far I know I need to adjust my throttle cable because I jacked up the position when I removed it despite my attempts to mark the location of nuts.
That’s it for tonight. I’m spent. Here is a crappy pic. View attachment 2684885Oh yeah, I need bigger tires now ASAP.
I hope you cracked a cold one or the equivalent after getting it all back together! Take that baselining.
Who knows. I’m thinking I need to wait until I leave HI. I feel like 35s are easy and look decent but something about 37s call to me. I’m not sure if I have it in me to go through the drama to fit them. But then again, I don’t know what I don’t know. How much bigger?![]()

Yes! I agree, let’s spend my money!! 37s just look right. Sometimes I see a rig with 35s and I think, “man that looks dope!”...then other times, I think, “man those 35s look kinda small...wtf?”I hear 37’s are the new 35...Pell you’re a mad man. From all of us here on the internet: 37’s because we love drama!
It will be a fun decision to make. Isn’t your journey to the mainland is getting closer?

i have arms headed my way. I have to wait and see about a DC shaft afterwards. Shopping around for a Tom Woods or Landtank. Might even go local. Who knows? I may not have my vibes but with those numbers, I’m preparing for it.What will you do about the castor angle? 4” delta arms would put you back in Toyota spec.
Slee is selling DC front shafts for our rigs again, too. It's what I snagged.i have arms headed my way. I have to wait and see about a DC shaft afterwards. You have over 3” in lift height right? No vibes? Baldilocks mentioned a part-time kit and so did Dave from Delta. I don’t have the means or knowledge for a cut and turn so I’ll likely go DC shaft or part time. We will see once I drive her, I don’t want any chance of vibes from anywhere unless it’s from my bed when I drop $.50 into it.Slee is selling DC front shafts for our rigs again, too.
