hi, ... 18 second with 22,5V maybe too much time IMHO normally the first stage of superglow is 2 - 3 seconds when warm and 5 max 10 during the winter...

earlier i had a 60 with 2h engine, superglow. In freezing temps it would glow (light on) for 3-5 sec, below -10deg C it would do 15-20 seconds, then afterglow. it all depends. I think also my setup worked better after changing the inlet temp sensor, it needs to read right. cant remember if it was reading to low or too high.
@DieselCruiser81 do you have a sensor at your inlet manifold?
and what temperatures are you having now and through winter?

here's the temp sensors im talking about (current sensor and glow plug resistor) on the 2H, dont know if you have them, but they are usually a part of the superglow system. if you have them, check for continuity.
They are not in the same location, i think, maybe towards the rear of the inlet manifold.
this is from 2H manual:

Funny that you say that because the glow light on the dash only stays lit for 2-3 seconds and then it goes off.

... infact : when the glow light turn on you should have a +24v feeding the bus bar and when the light turn of you should have the second stage of super glow... if not something in the controller is burnt

and like tlc norway said at what temp you are performing this test ?

I got my 4 new Toyota glow plugs in and installed them. I turned the key on and I heard a clicking noise I can't remember hearing before. It stopped after about 10 seconds and then it fired right up with no smoke. It was the best cold weather start I have ever had. Thanks for all of the help.

Glad to hear it's all well! God jul ;)
