Any thoughts about adding ac to it?
SR5 package baby, factory installed.
See, they're around.... I'm moving forward with the chopping and caging.
I stand corrected!
They are not rare and it's not that nice!
Chop that B!t(h up and wheel it like you stole it!!
I think you are on the right track! Make it a nice wheeler.
How can you say Trekkers are not rare? I've only seen 2 in person in my long life and one was new in a showroom back in the day. Mini trucks, not rare, but Trekkers are rare, especially a survivor.
Agreed, I believe from my research, Toyota only had 1200-1500 made
Some progress yesterday:
Fresh windshield and gasket had to go in before the cage.
Rockers and the foundation of the exo are tacked in, main hoop is tacked in and A pillars are bent up.
The exo looks super tight to the body. I would want around 1/2" minimum for the body to move. Or the cage to flex. My pinch weld above my sliders is dented from the stand off's
I can hardly wait to see and the Trekker on the trail!
Just how I like it!
Little more progress, wrapping up the cage. Starting on a bumper to house an old 8274 I've got a new motor and relay for.
Damn, that’s really coming along.
Scary to think what Aaron will try with a rig with exo-skeleton................. will the Trekker be watertight?
I saw that truck today. It's in a few pieces.
So long as I got "use guys" around to bail me out....
In fact, all I was doing in that photo was trying to keep up with you
I think the proper line with the exo-caged Trekker would've been to carry enough speed to barrel roll into the mud pit, coming out on the other side wheels down!
Which truck is in pieces?
I'm slowly picking away at a wheel seal and new rear brakes on the rear of the '91 fj80.
It also needs some kind of front bumper, the stock one is a mess.
The next project?
