My master came with 2 small tubes to bench bleed it. You bleed it until it's clear of bubbles and done.

Now if the front isnt getting fluid, something is up. here's a pic of the tube that feeds the front of mine. Maybe you got some kind of air lock hapening?

Update... I found an old thread here on mud that cleared up some of the issue. Don't take the bolt between the ports out thinking its a bleed point.... it locates the front piston. I put the master back on the bench, opened her up, fixed the front piston, bench bled with lines into the reservior, re-mounted and started to bleed the four corners. Went through two liters of fluid but still have air in there somewhere. Just a matter of more bleeding I think. I put out a call for help to the locals and should have a few guys over tonight to clear this up and hopefully get the locker in too.

Yikes!

I'm surprise your front piston wasn't destroyed by the screw if you put it back in there and tightened it without first having the pistons pushed in all the way:

(Sorry for the poor quality of this image. It's supposed to show someone pushing the pistons right forward using a phillips-head screwdriver while inserting the locating/stop screw. Without the pistons pushed forward like that, the screw-hole would normally line up with the some part of the front piston!!!!)

It's good that you found the problem though.

Ask him after moab. Then he'll be an expert on those new sneakers; 2,000 miles and a bunch of slickrock, sharp sandstone, granite ledges and fields of gravel ought to be about the best test one could design for a set of tyres.

Brakes fixed. I f'ed up the front piston when I took out the retaining bolt. I took it totally apart and used the front piston from the old one and the seal off the new one. Just like the prophet lostmarbles suggested.

mano002 helped bleed the system Thurs night and then Herb and Jim (sabretooth?) guided me installing the aissie locker. Friday was a whirlwind of packing after work until 1:30am. Up at 6:00 and on the road. Massive head wind from Lethbridge to pretty much Billings MT.

We're sitting in a motor lodge in Cody Wyoming having a beer after 640 miles.

WTH are you doing in WY.

You are going to moab right? Straight down I15, make a left at spanish fork UT and that brings you within an hour or two of Moab.

Anyway, keep us posted with pics.

It's about the journey. the I-15 is like doctor assisted suicide. There are so many more interesting ways.

I expect to live the rest of my days never travelling another interstate.

Bruce is right. We can't maintain a decent interstate speeds so we went on secondary highways. Most of which were 65mph anyway. I'll have to ask Costal Kevin about day two but on day one we averaged 55mph which I thought was great considering the headwind we were bucking. I hit a high of 137Km/h downhill with a tailwind. Kevin and Doug could go uphill faster but I could go quicker downhill because Costal would run out of RPM.

Need more of this stuff....

Hard to tell from the photo but the vertical pic is showing a rock arch or bridge - look for the shadow in the lower third of the pic to get a perspective.
