The XJ is an awesome little 4wd. I have a 98 and it reminds me of a mini 80 series. The 4.0 in line 6 has very similar characteristics to the 4.5 in line 6 in my 94 FZJ80. Solid axles in a lot smaller and lighter package.Don't want to derail the thread on the first post but my canoe is in Sweden and my 80 is in Florida. This meets half the criteria...
My XJ was nice and in the family for 15 years until last year when the wife decided it had to go.

It is a great boat. It found me some years back. A guy at work at the time asked if I wanted to buy it for $300. He got it barely used from a co-worker, took it out 1 time and dumped it getting in with his wife in it. That was the end of the canoe trips for them.I want your boat.
