Media 80s With Canoes

Upper Pea River near Elba, AL. Put in was at Weeks Bridge, river distance to take out at Elba was 9 miles. I used the Mad River 14' solo Freedom. We had a random chocolate Lab hanging out at the ramp. Massive cypress along the river. The river was a long series of rocky shoals, runs over bedrock, and pools. Fun run, would like to do it again with higher water.

Put in on the Flint River just east of Huntsville, AL.

Acquired this Mad River 16' Legend a couple of weeks ago. Loaded it up yesterday afternoon for the first river trip.

80 with the 14' Mad River at a put-in on the Pea River. This was a fun spot, a short trail through the woods that required dealing with a few mud holes. I lost the driver side mud flap when I got sucked into the deep slop of the large mud hole.

Taking the Whitesell Descender white water boat to the Coosa River today. This canoe is 9 years older than the 80.
