That Sun should work for me.
As for being armored and lifted no bother, it seems Tyler is volunteering his 80 for the meet/run - just give him 72 hours notice and will all take turns on his badass 80 :D .

Lookie, no touchie .. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Oh, and I require chicks, beer ... and Japanese cuisine .. :grinpimp:

I can go Sat or Sun. This is great...I live right off the ortega hwy! I havn't been out there for quite a while. The trails are fun to mess around on...test articulation etc. I can give dirrections if needed...very easy to find. Be careful driving on the Ortega Hwy it is a KILLER!

Note: if it is wet (rain) the park WILL be closed.

Hey smitty,
Ill vote for the Sunday if you open the restaurant for freebies. :D
Just joking of course.

I can hand out some free food for everyone to try! We have 15 locations in CA (13 in SoCal). I will allow anyone who wants to the opportunity to try it on me.

Also my wife is going to be key in my quest to build up her LX. I need o get her into this wheelin idea. Will this be a spouse friendly event? She is dying to come out but does not want to be the only :princess: raining on a guys evet.

Mangler - It's the last Sunday of March (the 26th).

T Y L E R - Come on down, we have a Starbucks on every corner.:flipoff2:

Smitty - I'm in the same boat and will probably bring the :princess: and my 2 year old :princess:. I'll just call it a "picnic."

The rest of the group - COUNT ME IN!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

And if anyone has any lift springs, sliders, aftermarket bumpers, etc. that they just need to get rid of, I happen to be in the market for such items. I know, long shot.

If I can make it back from Nor. Cal. I'm in for the last Sunday in March. Wildomar is way close to Santa Margarita.

By the way, Tare's 80 stretched well for us in Calico last Saturday...Nice suspension!

In two weeks So. Cal. TLCA meets again (March 5th), 5 pm, Hamburger Express, Westminster Blvd...Flood um with wagons! They'll dig it!

Rich

Daumn - I think I've got a scout camp out that weekend as well. I gotta stay in town more often. Golf and cruising are suffering.

Slomo, maybe you could start a yahoo group and organize meetings either regularly or occasionally. this works great for the Nor Cal 80's group. I live in LA, but I'd love to come down to OC and meet all you fellow cruiserheads.

I will be with the LA county TLCA chapter (Trailcrew) on Mar 25, they're doing a day run up to Last Chance Canyon, near Red Rock State park on Hwy 14. Can't miss that one! Last time I did it was about 3 years ago, it was a blast. Anyone else want to go, their website is: http://www.thetrailcrew.com/

I may be able to meet you guys on that Sunday, Mar 26, so let us all know what day you settle on.

Back about 1998 there was a guy named Jim, can't remeber his last name right now, he was a Toyota tech and owned a cool minitruck. He and a cruiser owner in Manhattan beach would organize occasional gatherings of toyota owners at a restaurant in the So Bay area, it was pretty neat. No wheeling, just a social meet to see others and their trucks. They were usually at night after work. I met some pretty cool cruiser folks that way. Too bad they don't do that anymore.

Dana

Dana,

They don't do that any more since you wouldn't by the cerveza's :)

I'm sure you are talking about "Jim Brink"

Glad you are coming out to Last Chance Canyon run at the end of March!

See you in DV

Smitty, everyones wifes/girlfriends/kids etc... will be welcome of course and I for one would love to try your food. What is the quisine and restaurant?

Understatement of the century, I can explain on the 26th. Seriously I am a paramedic and have scraped up more than my share off that highway so for those not familiar with it drive carefully.

lacruiser, The date looks to be set for Sunday, Mar 26, hope you and any other cruiser folk can make it.

I like the idea of setting up a group and making the meeting of the 80's at least a semi regular to regular thing. I am not familiar with Yahoo or any group formats for that matter. I am only fairly good with computers to be honest and I am learning as I go so I may not be the best man for the job. Anyone want to take that on? If not I could give it a try if someone helped me get the ball rolling.

add one more.....

Cool! I can't wait. I think this will help get her excited also. The restaurant is the largest privately owned restaurant chain in the country. We invented the chicken sandwich in the 1950's and chicken nuggets in 1982. The name is Chick-fil-A. www.chick-fil-a.com. We are growing rapidly in California. Sorry if this is too much info.

Wow small world, I know of Chick-fil-A and just had it for the first time in 15 or so years. My wife had never heard of it and I happened to find one while we were in Phoenix last weekend. She hates KFC (subsequently thinks all chicken fast food is that bad) and it took some convincing but she tried one of the salads and liked it. I am hoping to convert her. :D

Add me in for a definite maybe. I am free that day but am studying for a big promotional exam at the end of March. If I feel smart enough to take a break, I will see you there!

Are pets allowed?

Mark, I think TYLER was just kidding. He's a "Cannucklehead", lives in Canada. Although, apparently, we might be able to persuade him with women, suds, and raw fish.:D

Hi All, I have put this on my calendar, with goal of bringing the family. I'm sure I have seen some of you cruising the OC freeways. Just confirming, are we meeting at the Wildomar site or elsewhere first. If I get up early enough, might take a shortcut over Santiago Peak to Hwy 74.
